I worked with this guy that had a serious odour problem, and at Christmas one of the Directors bought him some deodorant as a subtle hint. Turns out he had a serious medical complaint that caused this fishy smell and he couldn't disguise it cos it was so strong. So people telling him he smelt was just a depressing reminder that he was very ill, and didn't help matters at all, just made him feel like crap about himself.

I danced with this girl the other week who smelt very bad, but then I saw her again a week later and she smelt and looked great, and she was great to dance with. I think if I had told her the first time she wouldn't have danced with me again.

I think there are times when it may be a good idea, but best only good friends and family who value your opinion.

Most importantly "SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE". If you can't then shut up and put up.

Just try to avoid them.

Nowadays this could result in someone getting angry and someone getting hurt.

Ask yourself "would I tell a big mean looking guy he stinks?"
Probably not.

So try to treat everyone you meet with the same respect you would a person that could physically hurt you.
That way you are always respectful of everyone even if they do smell a little.

not by a complete stranger, what does it matter if your only walking past. you dont have to live with it. some people are very busy and may have been rushing round and rushing to supermarket and sweating as they are so busy. you ever think of that?

just walk away, dude. if the stink doesn't bother them, and it should, telling them that YOU think THEY stink will only create problems. just walk away....

There are worse things then having an offensive odor. Poor manners are inexcusable.

I believe you should especially if you know them that well or have talked to them before , but choose your words carefully.
