I started a new job and my new boss is a female from Glendale, CA. She is Hispanic and grew up in L.A. She is new to KS and I told her that I have a great dentist. I wanted her to know that the hygenist is hispanic too without coming out and saying just that, so I said, "The hygenist's name is Ana." I know she picked up on this clue because she said, "You really like you're dentist, huh." Do you think she took offense at my obvious attempt to let her know the hygenist was hispanic like her or do you think that she might appriciate my attempt at diplomacy by not coming right out and saying it?

What's the right way to communicate to a minority that he or she would be comfortable at my dentist/doctor because they are a diverse doctor in a midwest city?

i would rate myself 7 out of 10. i am not perfect, i don't consder myself as perfect but i try to be as good a human being as i possibly can. even though i have said things on answers which were often stupid and i regret a lot, that is not who i am. who i am is a person who doesn't think too highly of myself and always take into consideration the views of others. but i am also somebody who doesn't condone abuse of any sort towards me. i care more about a person and their feelings, personality etc rather than their appearance and what you look like physically.

what about yourself? thus, be honest about it. i will also monitor any derogatory remarks you make about other people or myself & consider whether to report you to yahoo! if you try to offend me or anyone else commenting on this subject.

I had a violation notice because I tried to help someone, and the system wouldn't allow me to reply to their e-mail.So I tried putting a response in the form of a question, hoping the person would find it, and that it might be useful, or at least show I'm not pig ignorant. This was classified as 'chat', and I got the violation notice. Well I enjoy a good row, so I replied, explaining my motives. I have now had a standard, threatening letter from them, the threat being the closure of my account. Why? presumably because I had the temerity to challenge them. So, do you ever get a reply identifiably from a human, or do they always hide behind their system?

I was at an insurance seminar because I'm an insurance agent and we had this get to know each other game where everyone went around the room and said what their favorite movie is and who their favorite actor and actress is.I said fear and loathing in las vegas was my favorite movie and the woman sitting next to me starting making fun of me saying I was to young and didn't know good movies.I'm to young to have a favorite movie?What was that comment about?I am young (23) but I'm married and have my own house and career.Its not like i'm 12 and living with my parents.Why do people do this?

Why is it that some people in the towns are way better than any one else. What makes you SO special being the mayors daughter, and I mean she is like in her 30's and still flaunts her daddy around town and his money.. Anyone have a answer and not a rude answer. I called the recruiter last Friday and she advised the company was very impressed but they were going to interview 1 other candidate this week. She asked me to call her by today if I haven't heard from her this week.

But if I had the job, I would have heard from her right? Should I just assume I don't have it? I don't feel like being rejected today.
