No. Ethics are rules and a code of behavior, usually defined by profession or some other group. And it's completely possible to follow those rules without having broken them first.

We are born in sin; therefore, we know unethical conduct first. So, I guess the answer to your question would be technically "Yes". We have nothing to compare ethical conduct with until we know what is unethical. It is the nature of mankind that we must unlearn in order to learn.

No, you don't HAVE to be unethical to later be ethical. All you have to do is know what the difference is.

That depends on your definition. In my opinion, to be unethical, it's not enough to just do something bad. You have to do something bad while KNOWING that it's bad.

On that general note, I recall reading that all two-year-olds are clinical psychopaths. Luckily most of us outgrow that stage. :-)
