I am at a loss. I don't know what to get him! He looooooves electronics but he always buys himself the new gadgets he wants. I know he's getting me a LCD tv for xmas (oops) so I can't get him one (we live together). He won't use an mp3 player. He has all sound improvements for his car done. We can't really have surround sound because our apartment is so not sound proofed it isn't even funny.. (our neighbors drive us up the wall with their surround sound and I don't want to disturb those below us.)
I am thinking of a smaller LCD TV to replace the one in the living room but I have already bought him something that was $130 along w/ a few smaller things so I don't have the budget left for the price of the smaller tv. I could swing it I guess, but then I'd have to buy the HDMI cables and dvd player to go with it.
Any ideas?! He loves electronics and basketball.. Celtics.
Thanks ahead of time!

Dear Abby,

My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the
beginning, and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse,
everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating.

Also, since he lost his job six years ago, he hasn't even looked for a
new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around and shoot
the bull with his buddies, while I have to work to pay the bills.
Since our daughter went away to college he doesn't even pretend to like
me and even hints that I may be a lesbian. What should I do?
Signed: Clueless

Dear Clueless:

Grow up and dump him. Good grief, woman! You don't need him anymore!

Buddhism is very good but I still feel that empty hole in my life. Common people, just admit it, don't you feel that empty hole. Yet when I read about Catholicism, it seems that the hole is getting filled.

It doesn't matter the question- it is all across the board.. but I have come across very nasty responses by international members that are SO closed minded when it comes to any answers by Americans... Without merit...I think it is very wrong, and offensive. As self absorbed they call us - they don't realize they are doing the same thing by making snap judgements about an entire group...

being homosexual is a statement of rebellion more that a desire for the same sex.
its kinda like telling a child not to go outside in the road and play , and because you told them that they got to do it just because you said not to.
i find it funny that someone can say i was born like that.
this is not even a bible question, common sence question if i might say.
without an angry answer , try to explain how you feel about this topic.
do you think its a behaviour that one is born with or rebellion?

Mormon's are NOT CHRISTIANS. Christians need but ONE book-the bible as the LAST WORD from God. Mormons "improve" the bible by following the Book of Mormon and more importantly to them, the Book of Doctrine and Covenants (D&C). Romney believes in the bible but he is not saying the bible was superseded by the D&C and Book of mormons.
http://www.carm.org/lds/lds_christian.htm
Mormon theology teaches that god is only one of countless gods, that he used to be a man on another planet, that he became a god by following the laws and ordinances of that god on that world, and that he brought one of his wives to this world with whom he produces spirit children who then inhabit human bodies at birth. The first spirit child to be born was Jesus. Second was Satan, and then we all followed. But, the Bible says that there is only one God (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8; 45:5), that God has eternally been God (Psalm 90:2) -- which means he was never a man on another planet.
Why is Mormonism a non Christian religion? It is not Christian because it denies that there is only one God, denies the true Gospel, adds works to salvation, denies that Jesus is the uncreated creator, distorts the biblical teaching of the atonement, and undermines the authority and reliability of the Bible.
CARM does not deny that Mormons are good people, that they worship "a" god, that they share common words with Christians, that they help their people, and that they do many good things. But that isn't what makes someone Christian. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, " Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" (NKJV). Becoming a Christian does not mean belonging to a church, doing good things, or simply believing in God. Being a Christian means that you have trusted in the true God for salvation, in the True Jesus -- not the brother of the devil, not the god of Mormonism, not the gospel of Mormonism. Mormonism is false and cannot save anyone.

Many women are afraid of their first mammogram, but there is no need to worry. By taking a few minutes each day for a week preceding the exam and doing the following practice exercises, you will be totally prepared for the test, and best of all, you can do these simple practice exercises right in your home.

EXERCISE 1:

Open your refrigerator door and insert one breast between the door and the main box. Have one of your strongest friends slam the door shut as hard as possible and lean on the door for good measure. Hold that position for five seconds. Repeat again in case the first time wasn't effective enough.

EXERCISE 2:

Visit your garage at 3 AM when the temperature of the cement floor is just perfect. Take off all your clothes and lie comfortably on the floor with one breast wedged under the rear tire of the car. Ask a friend to slowly back the car up until your breast is sufficiently flattened and chilled. Turn over and repeat for the other breast.

EXERCISE 3:

Freeze two metal bookends overnight. Strip to the waist. Invite a stranger into the room. Press the bookends against one of your breasts. Smash the bookends together as hard as you can. Set an appointment with the stranger to meet next year and do it again.

You are now properly prepared.

o.k i have been a catholic for all my life, and i have gone to church ones in a while, done my confesion, among other thing's most catholics due. However, i have always been interested in magic, and the "whole spirit world". I am a normal catholic, i pray every day, but this just interest me a lot. i do believe in god, i believe he is the creator and that he absolutly exist. Now, i don't know what to do, i don't want to switch religions i want to do both, wicca and catholicism, i know it's awkward but...... i got to see how, wicca religion is. you see in the country that i am from, they believe in black magic a lot, and their is actual witches who do witchcraft and cast spells on people " now i dont want to be that, i dont want to harm others" just do spells for my own benifit, anyways can anyone help me with this confusion.

own though's about it, will the devil hunt me if i do this?

One of my husband's friend (who is married and I am friends with his wife) has very open conversations with me. He is always fooling around, and we are never alone, it's always the 4 of us together. My husband says that they are not very religious Muslims so to him, he's not doing anything bad, but I get a little uneasy. I was always brought up in a very conservate Muslim home where the girls and boys don't really mingle.

Is this bad?

It has been speculated that Judas' damnation, which seems to be possible from the Gospels' text, may not actually stem from his betrayal of Christ, but from the despair which caused him to subsequently commit suicide. This position is not without its problems, but it does avoid the paradox of Judas' predestined act of setting in motion both the salvation of all mankind & his own damnation. Can you unraval the question?

Example: Is it rather risque for Mrs Claus to sing "Here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus lane"?

If it is not "evil", can you think of a Christmas song that would be rather "frisky" if taken out of context?

I am just curious. Before Mitt Romney started running for president and the controversy about his religion, how many of you ever really had heard or known much about the Mormon (Chuch of Latter Day Saints Of Jesus Christ)? And what did you know do you understand the religion better now?
