(I mean like is it ethical in your eyes? Cause it will hit the contact boards again but others can no longer answer it if it is already resolved.)

(I just did that for one of "Georgia Peach"s questions which had already been resolved. Then I thought, It seems Iike I read we are not to star a resolved question.)

If I run into an excelent question with a wonderful BA I still star them to show that I felt it WAS one worhty of note. Let the rules be damned. A superb Q&A is a supereb Q&A, period.

When I reach my quota for the day, I get booted out and start voting, and sometimes these questions were posted 24 hours ago as I was sleeping, but they are star-worthy to me and I at least give a shout-out cause it boosts their confidence into asking another one that makes me think a little harder about judging people! I admire gutsy people and just because I didn't have the opportunity of answering doesn't mean they aren't deserving of a star, I've starred all yours!!!

Yes, It gives your contacts an opportunity to read a question that they might not have seen without your star. Your example is a case in point.

Absolutely! I look at other people's starred questions all the time. I am disappointed that people are not leaving as many comments on resolved questions as they used to.

yeah i still star resolved questions. they are good to come back to, and it's better to acknowledge an interesting question. this will give your contacts an opportunity to read it too!

If someone can report a resolved question, I don't see why you can't star it.

I do it only on occasion, but personally have no problem with the practice. It is irritating though when I have a well thought out answer(wheather serious or funny) and BAM!!...locked out,no admittance...RATS!!!....LOL!!!
