Blue Lady,
A number of scientists do and some do not. That is quite controversial in this forum. I have a Mathematics and Physics Degree but I am a Christian who definitely believes in our GOD and FATHER. I had a near-death experience many years ago and began searching afterwards. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

To person above:
How is it unfortunate that some scientists believe in God?!
Believing in God doesn't make anyone any smarter or any dumber than the next person! Heck, I'm the smartest one in my Chem class atm and I'm Christian!
Also Einstein was Jewish
Sorry about that. I'm pretty sure a good amount of scientists believe in God. Just because God exists doesn't mean that science isn't possible

Some do, some don't. If you ask about religion, then far fewer scientists claim a faith than a belief in God. There is no scientific proof for nor against the existence of God but there is plenty of proof that religion is a lie.

Depends on what kind of God. A lot of scientists believe in a impersonal God, and not necessarily in a Christian one

Yes, although it varies between different fields. Chemists have a pretty high number of religious scientists. The largest concentration of atheists is biology.
Decent number of astrophysicists are agnostics or pantheists.
Also, it depends on the country; in Britain, religious scientists are an extreme minority, while they are more plentiful in America.

Some of them do. Some of them do not.
Regardless, they produce good science because they are willing to look at the world with the scientific method, instead of expecting reality to fit within prearranged conclusions.
Science changes and updates to fit new evidence. That's what makes it so strong and useful in comprehending reality. Every year and study and new discovery is a step closer to the truth.

Science and religion are two completely different cagegories.
Science is physical and Religion is spiritual.
Of course they can believe in God.

Keep in mind this is from memory and the numbers are not exact.
Biologists and Physicists usually do not to the tune of about 90%. Other non-related fields show about 64% belief in a god.

It is about 60% no in science in general. The National Academy of Science, which represents the top scientists in the world is about 90% no: http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/news/file002.html
