Now they're all one. God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Ghost, the blessed trinity. When did this happen, and who decided it?

For eg. Jesus as an Avatar of Lord Vishnu or Jesus as an Avatar of Allah or Jesus as an Avatar of the Father who sent the Son ?

Perhaps there are a lot of similarities that Jesus was Satvic in Nature and also Lord Vishnu is also considered the Lord of Satva Guna, the Satvic Quality.

See some similarities over here with the concept of Avatar / Descendence of Yesu / The Jesus Christ.

Do you people not see how gullible that makes you? Just have a little think about it if you can. Can you not see how your belief in God or religion could so easily be just one big lie? Even if you totally believe it, have you even thought that more then likely is just made up?

99.9% of the time,I am the most cheerful, serene person around. In fact, around my friends and family I am nicknamed "Atheist Jesus"because I always have an optimist outlook.I am sort of the family counseler. The other night, actually for the first time in my life,as I was quietly thinking,an OVERWHELMING sense of nihilism overcame me.It was horrible,to be honest, and very UNlike me.By morning I was my normal, cheerful self again. So,do you ever have bouts of nihilism? And what do you do to combat it?I don't ever want to feel that way again

Sure, they may have certain practises which are quite uncommon and unknown to non-shiias, but that doesn't mean we can discriminate against them..they too are muslim; they are our brothers and sisters for goodness' sake!We keep lecturing about peace in iraq, world peace, this peace, that peace..what's the use if it is all talk and no action?isn't it hypocritical to do so, when the same people complain about being discriminated against?(i'm talking mostly about non-shiia muslims who do so..)

What you see with your eyes is nothing but mere illusion and the ultimate truth lies hidden deep inside you. Nothing lasts long here, and something experienced from within is eternal. How far do you agree and give your views?

Ok, help me understand. Is it freewill or God's will?

a) Disturbed teen goes into church and shoots people with an assault rifle. God is totally not responsible for this, because it's clearly a case of freewill, right?

b) Volunteer security guard shoots said disturbed teen to keep him from killing more people. She says God was with her, she's sure, because "he had all the firepower" (no, not joking that's what she said). Not freewill. God directed her. Correct?

So, do humans have freewill or not? If so, God cannot get credit for b. If not, God gets the blame for a.

Which is it?

He likes to have breakfast out, in a local restaurant about once a year with the singles. I guess it's his way of letting it be known that us single people are of value to the chruch. It's just going to be me and him. Last year we were both at a loss for words, it's so awkward. I should have cancelled. I have about three hours till I am out the door. What in the world can I talk about?

They are mutually exclusive. If God knows and plans everything, all our actions are at his command. If our actions are our own and have nothing to do with God's will, God's power is limited by human will.

Therefore:

1) Either God is responsible for every act of evil carried out by humankind, and should plunge himself into Hell out of common decency, or

2) God is responsible for precisely NOTHING good that happens to human beings, or that human beings do.

Divine omiscience is perfectly, absolutely incompatible with free human will. But I invite anyone to show me how they think this is not the case.

I personally have not found one scripture to back this up.
Paul said " To be absent from the body present with the Lord"
Yeshua said to the theif on the cross " today you will be with me
in paradise" In the hebrew this Gan Eden, the Garden of Eden.
Solomon said in Eccles12:7 " The dust will return to the earth
as it was, And the spirit will return to YHWH God who gave it."
Nowhere does it actually say we go to heaven. Some answers
please.

Last year I was frantically wrapping Christmas presents on Christmas day before meeting up with family for a BBQ lunch - LOL!

I told myself last year that I would not do the same thing this year, that I would be prepared.

I can see myself doing the same thing this year! It is hard. I run my own business and this time of year is very busy. I work longer hours than normal and although I buy the presents early I tend to put off wrapping them until the last minute.

I was lucky to get all my Christmas cards out last week! LOL.

I still have not put up our Christmas tree either... *grins*

I can't be the only person that does this, can I?
