I have talked to many shia muslims and noticed that their practices/believes are shirk. So I would like to ask all the Shai muslims that do you agree with the following lecture "What is Shirk" by Dr Israr Ahmed.

http://www.lobortis.com/d/5657284976/Dr_+Israr+Ahmad+-+Shirk+Part+1.mp3
(in english)

and I would also like to know what sunni muslims think about their believes?

This lecture is a must for every muslim as well as christian (JW)

Super Granny

An elderly lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her car. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at them at the top of her voice, "I have a gun and I know how to use it!

Get out of the car you scumbags!"
The four men didn't wait for a second invitation but got out and ran like mad, whereupon the lady, somewhat shaken, proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat.

She was so shaken that she could not get her key into the ignition. She tried and tried and then it dawned on her why. A few minutes later she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station.

The sergeant to whom she told the story nearly tore himself in two with laughter and pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale white males were reporting a car jacking by a mad elderly woman described as white, less than 5' tall, glasses, and curly white hair carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.
(True story!)

after giving an answer that you just know is the truth and than bam 5 thumbs down? I would like to say to my fellow saved brothers and sisters. Do not get discouraged by the thumbs, that is just a way the devil is trying to get us down. I am talking to just those that are saved, and you know who you are. I am baptist if you didn't look at my avatar, so you know what I'm talking about.

I am just curious.

I hear a ton of people on this site (R&S) that say the person of Jesus was not real and never existed. His existence as a real human being is well documented by the record of History, even outside the Bible. As in the writings of Josephus and so on.

Also, why do people insist he was not Jewish?
His geneology is listed directly from Abraham to Joseph (his natural father). He was a direct descendant of King David; He was also a Rabbi.
Why do people claim he wasn't Jewish? Do they not like Jews? That bothers me.

I was reading the book of Job where Zophar chastises Job for maintaining his innocence, despite many dreadful afflictions. Zophar used the theological philosophy of his day to insist that all Job had to do was repent of hidden sin and "Life will be brighter than noonday". This conflicts with Psalm 73 and God was angry with Zophar for his error. Yet Zophar said a lot of things that were true about God! His exposition is very persuasive! (Job 11)

The Apostle Paul warns Christians not to be deceived by find-sounding arguments, saying that in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col 2:1-4). Have you any examples of discovering error in an apparently sound biblical idea once you examined it against the revelation of Christ?

Is anyone else sick of living in the past. I understand we need to know history to better understand our future but does it really matter is we evolved from apes or were given the breath of life by a God? Why does it matter to everyone. Regardless of where we came from we are all going to die. Try to understand that we truly do not know what will happen when we die, we can have faith but we do not actually know. Live life to the fullest but don't be stupid about it. When it's time to go, realize what a shame it was that you wasted time living your life for someone else or God, or even that you wasted time hating other people. Live life knowing that it's never long enough and that you will certainly die and you spreading 'the word of your lord' isn't going to suspend your time on earth. LIVE LIFE FOR YOU, sure being the boss of a company is great but it doesn't change your lifes outcome. Yes, billions of dollars is very nice, but you can't take it with you to heaven.

Christians tend to preach in Church that if you don't love Jesus you're going to hell.

If you, murder, rape, and steal, but you repent and love jesus, you're going to heaven.

So if a Jewish or Muslim guy gives to the poor on a regular basis and has never broken any of the 10 commandments in his life, he's going to hell anyways?

From my experience the teachings in the Church are turning Christian children into biggots. Weather or not these are the beliefs of Christian adults, they are infact the beliefs of Christian children.

Is it possible for you to mis-interpret?

If Yes, will you be concern if your church was founded from mis-interpretation?

My family grew up following the Roman Catholic Church. But I look up information from books saying Greek Orthodox is the true Church, and not the Catholic one.

Which you think is true church of God? Details with answers, please. Thank you.

How do you know?

Besides the Bible, have you read any Christian writing from a 1st, 2nd or 3rd century Christian.

Writings which are from people who were either deciples of Christ or the deciples or deciples of deciples of Christ and the Apostles.

You know it might be helpful to know what these individuals believed about scripture, how they actually worshiped or believed about what they were being taught.

You read Pagan writers Plato, Socrates, Aristotle. Why not read people who were 40 year deciples of the Apostle's such as St. Ignatius of Antioch.

If only to enlighten yourself on what people 2,000 years ago believed so that you may come to compare it to what your 21st cetury church teaches or hopefully come to value how faithful your churches teachings and practices have been to these first deciples

If you have not, check it out, here is a good start...

I personally wish there was. An eternal paradise of happiness? Yes please. But I suppose it doesn't matter one way or the other because once we die we no longer have the capacity to feel or think.
