after giving an answer that you just know is the truth and than bam 5 thumbs down? I would like to say to my fellow saved brothers and sisters. Do not get discouraged by the thumbs, that is just a way the devil is trying to get us down. I am talking to just those that are saved, and you know who you are. I am baptist if you didn't look at my avatar, so you know what I'm talking about.

miguel what in the world are you talking about. apparently you didn't read the part where I said I was only talking to those that are saved. I say that because they will understand what I am trying to say. It has nothing to do with be judgemental towards other religions.

The more thumbs down the better your answer was, that is how I see it in this religion and Spirituality section. If the truth hurts then you will receive many thumbs down but if the world loves your answer it will agree with you.

Atheists have gotten thumbs down for citing passages from the christian bible that some christians apparently don't like.
By the way, do you actually believe that a devil exists and has an effect on the world? I ask because I can't imagine how anyone who has at least two brain cells could possibly believe such nonsense.
I guess if you do believe that, you probably think the "devil" helped me compose my answer. You have no idea how sorry I feel for anyone who believes such tripe. It's so sad to have access to so much actual knowledge, yet waste time belieiving that fictional characters are real. What's the point of having a brain if it's just going to wallow in superstition?

I would give you a thumbs down on your question if I could. If your answers are anywhere based on your Baptist indoctrination, none of it will be the "truth." What bothers me about believers is that they continue to be in deep denial about the fact that they are acting based on faith, and FAITH ALONE. "Faith" and "truth" are like oil and vinegar, friend. They don't mix.
Edit: Oh, so sorry, Baptist. My bad. Missed that part about "exclusive to the saved." I feel so bad about being left out. Not.

I dont believe that the thumbs down has anything whatsoever to do with the devil.....its more about people having a differing opinion to you, or that they know the info someone has provided is incorrect.

the curse of christianity is that nothing you do is ever good enough. How much prayer is enough? How much church attendance is enough? How much money do I give to the church? How many people should I witness to? How much time should I spend reading the bible? With christians it is all about trying to prove what a good christian you are. that is all foolishness and rubbish.

Jesus was never concerned with pleasing the crowds, but he came to save the lost. Keep up the good fight.
