Yes, a belief is still a belief even if it is actually not real. People used to believe the Earth was flat, even though it wasn't.

EDIT:
Addison, you certainly are not crazy. I also believe in faeries.

No offense, but this question is odd.. There's no such thing as a real or fake belief. If some one genuinely believes the sky is green with heart shaped clouds, just because it's not true, doesn't mean it's not a belief.

As far as God goes, I didn't know a God was imaginary. After all, considering there is more proof supporting the idea of a God or creator, than there is going against the concept (If anyone bothers doing research anymore), I'd see no reason why a belief in God in general would be fake. Your question doesn't make sense.

Yes. The belief is real, but all gods are imaginary

The question really is whether or not you believe in any form of god. If you believe there is no chance at all of any god, then you would classify it as imaginary, thus it wouldn't be real to you. But for someone who believes without a doubt that there is a god, then its a real belief for them.

Keep in mind, it's really no ones place to classify something as 'real' or not based on one's opinion.

it does count as a belief but does not count as an organised religion or a belief that everyone will have. but if your happy to have a belief in your imaginary god then thats fine, if thats what makes you happy.

Beliefs are real, no matter what they're in. I believe in faeries. My friends think faeries don't exist. That doesn't mean that my belief isn't real. My friends think I'm crazy for believing in faeries but that in no way diminishes MY feelings, regardless.

It is the same for Christians/Muslims/Jews/Pagans/etc.

Your faith and belief in your god(s) is a real belief, whether or not these gods actually exist or not.

there's no thank you to 'understand' God in any experience as by potential of definition one among those being is unknowable. no remember if he exists or no longer is beside the point and easily by potential of present does no longer make him worth of worship. If a being exchange into 'effectual' sufficient to have existed until now the universe and created it, it does no longer even understand we existed, we are basically a by potential of made of that journey. And no remember if that's certainly omniscient, as a result understanding individuals, then it basically does not care sufficient to do something. So sure, each and every thing remains the suitable comparable.

What else would it be? The believer does not have an imaginary god. His/her god is as real as his/her delusions. This is "real belief."

The difference between belief and knowledge requires imagination. Its just that some won't acknowledge that fact and claim to have knowledge when in fact it is imagination. The very fact that it is called belief implies imagination.
