There are plenty of religions out there, but I'm thinking of the ones pertaining to God. A person's religion may have developed through salvation, but it mainly developed on that person's environment more than anything else. I'm a Baptist and understand that you must accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, and I have, but I also understand that he loves all of his children and understands them. Can God really punish people who have accepted other forms of worship for him? I'm speaking of all the forms of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Mormonism, and if I am incorrect in anyway, please correct me. I'd also like serios answers though.

I find this to be an inescapable trap for those who 'believe'. If they question their thinking, they are being tempted in the manner they believe is described in Revalations. If they do not question their thinking, well, then they just don't question their thinking.

What say you?

Now that Hanukkah is over, I have candle wax all over my silver plated menorah. How do I clean it so it looks nice for next year? I have an old one that I was using and it got gross because I didn't know how to clean it well, and so I bought a new one. I don't want the same thing to happen to this one.

"Conventional doctrines say Jesus saved the world by dying. But the people who killed Jesus hated him. It's wrong to confuse hate with love. This theology raises profound moral questions for me."

I guess I'll provide a generalized example of my own race. Being an Asian, sometimes I am really annoyed by certain Asians trying to "act smart" or are actually smart and think that they are better than regular joes and people who don't go to school. They even expect me to be that way, and when I'm not the "stereotypical geeky asian" they expect me to be it feels like I'm left out. Sometimes, they just proclaim that they are good in academics and want a prestegious job, like in the medical field, when actually they don't even care about school that much and are just doing it to fit in. Is it just me, or do you also sometimes feel that people within your race wants to support stereotypes of your own race ? Are you bothered by it?

If the ancient egyptians were not Africans then the non-african population would have existed somewhere other than africa before migrating to Egypt. But where is the great civilization that would pre-dates egypt that contains all the knowledge egypt was built upon? Where is the great pyramid outside of Africa?

If the Arabs were the original builders of the pyramids why did they wait until migrating to Africa to build them?

I mean obviously, all the people asking the questions KNOW how to use it... why would someone just copy and paste it from there and show the answer? that's just stupid... people are asking translations from actual bilinguals - they don't care about your stupid ability to copy and paste from one website to another... do you actually think they wanna get strange english (or other language) translations that actually make NO sense... and mostly mistranslate the meanings?

so... why do you do it? just to get the points? or do you actually think they DON'T know how to use it... or haven't tried it?

Why dont christians believe that god created evil in the world. and he also created everyone as they are. good, bad. gay, straight, honest, liars. and so on.

How did satan make evil when he didnt exist before god created him. and suposedly satan wasnt cast out of heaven before humans were created either.
Its also said that god is testing us to see if we are good enough to goto heaven. so how can we be tested if he dont do anything bad?? And if you answer Satan well then god allows it to happen. thats still god doing it indirectly.

I know that god is a loving being and wants us to do well, but sometimes bad things are needed to make good things even better. thats how i see it.

Hello, to all the people who read this.. I wanted to ask you a question.Have you ever been in a situation where you didn't know how to move on with life or long perid of time? Where you felt trapped or hopeless? These are the situation that I am going through these days. I've been in another country, doing missions for half an year. I returned to the state a while ago and started to look for a job. I been looking for a job thinking that I would be going into ministry this January. However things were not going well according to what I thought. My parents are against me doing ministry because I need to raise support. Church are not sort of willing to support me because of financial situation. I am getting no job although I searched for long time in order to go into ministry. I have no answer for going into ministry because people are not willing to support. I am losing hope and faith. Now I am thinking will I ever move on? what is God's plan for me? how can i move on? could you pray?

- Alas, how many times she observed the bull with an uneven expression
- and said "Why can she please my lord?"
- Look, how she frisks before him in the tender grass:

I'm not sure what to do with the 4th line. I understand that nec dubito quin introduces a negative doubting clause but why would the author have it in 1st person singular? Because this is how I translated it...

I don't doubt whether the foolish thinks that she is to be pleasing

Can somebody help me out? I'm really confused!

Gee, why wouldn't he make himself more scientific so all people can believe in him or just show himself to humans every 5 decades if he would give us free will? Then he sends people to Hell if we didn't believe in him. It's not at all "divine" but almost "capricious". He seems to me like a childish Dad (Peter Griffin most likely) asking his children if they like their Mom or Dad more, telling them they can choose whichever then getting pissed off when they say they like Mom better. Just because one is a Christian that doesn't mean that they are good people and vice versa for Atheists. Let me hear some explanations and if I find them reasonable and persuasing enough then I shall gladly convert myself into Christianity, NOT because of fear for Hell: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgzJstczLdGCOllOY7bk44DAFQx.;_ylv=3?qid=20071207160615AAkxw96
