Do you Jewish folks have a Hanukkah tree? Do you trim it with all blue, or all white lights?? Do you use a real tree ?? Do you exchange gifts during this eight day festival?? I imagine this is a happy time for you and your loved ones ??

Now that Hanukkah is over, I have candle wax all over my silver plated menorah. How do I clean it so it looks nice for next year? I have an old one that I was using and it got gross because I didn't know how to clean it well, and so I bought a new one. I don't want the same thing to happen to this one.

I attended my first Hanukkah during a Bat Mitzvah celebration and had a wonderful time! I was re-invited to anther Bat Mitzvah but was wondering if it's okay or non-offensive for Non-Jewish people to participate in Jewish ceremonies.
I don't want to feel like I'm intruding or offending anyone.

Am I the only one that spells the celebration of lights as: Chanukah?
Where did this spelling, Hanukkah come from?

I'm sorry to sound stupid but I'm an Orthodox Christian, so I wouldn't know =)
Do you prefer to spell it with the C or without it?

I just found out that my daughters kindergarten teacher celebrates Hanukkah. I would like to get her a gift this holiday season, but I do not want to offend her. I do not know anyone who is Jewish, so I 'm not sure what would be appropriate. Any suggestions would be helpful. She is a wonderful teacher, and I want to get her a gift just to show my appreciation.

I think this is very short-sighted. Balducci's was leading the way.

I am looking for a CD with Maoz Tsur on it. The trouble is. most of what I find is the first verse in Hebrew and then some awful English lyrics that sound forced to fit the tune. I would like to find a version that has all the Hebrew verses and preferably no English. Can anyone recommend a CD?
