Also when do I give it to them? Do I also get them a Christmas present? I am in a dilemma because I have approx 8 people who are Jewish. I need ideas on what to get them. 5 are my co-workers and 3 are my neighbors who are close. Would it be wrong to give a gift card? What amount? Ideas? Thank you so much.

My boyfriend is Jewish and I am Christian (non-practicing Catholic to be precise). I know that Hanukkah is not as important to Jews as Christmas is to Christians, but I'm wondering if I should buy him a Hanukkah present? If so, on which night of Hanukkah should I give him a present? Does it really matter or is it more of the thought that counts? I'm not expecting a Christmas present (although if he wants to give me a gift, I would appreciate it), and I'm not wanting to give him a gift simply in the hopes that he will reciprocate. Any advice?

I'm just looking for Jewish families with experience in raising children, particularly around the holiday season. For those who celebrate Christmas, Sants seems to fit right in, because Christmas is one big hooplah day, and Santa only delivers the prezzies once, and it all seems to work and make sense to the kids. Does Santa fit in with Jewish celebrations?

Please no one take offense...I'm just trying to ask a plain question out of curiosity...some people will take offense as soon as the topic of religion is even touched upon.

Okay...

Thank you!

If you expect the unexpected, isn't the unexpected expected and you are merely expecting the expected which is what you do whenever you expect something?

that only the christian holiday categorie are full of questions and the others are empty. I think that gives the other religions more dignity and better believers. Thanks for not pushing your beliefs on people in a public forum!
