3 options:
1) You can invert the Christmas wrap to the blank side. Cut out some Chanukkah clip art from the Internet and paste it on for a homemade wrapping paper.
2) Go and buy some Chanukkah wrap OR generic Happy Holiday wrap
3) Wrap the gift in the Christmas wrpa you already have and a simple "Sorry-didn;t have Chanukkah wrap" will suffice. A true friend is not going to make an issue over it.
Good luck & Happy Holidays to you!

I agree with most of the suggestions, but just wanted to say that it doesn't have to be paper specifically for Chanukah. It can be any kind of paper, but it would be tacky to use any wrapping paper specific to Christmas.
Basically, use ANYTHING else. I wrap some of my presents in paper specifically for Chanukah, but for my neices and nephews, I have special gift I give every year (it's a tradition I made up, but I've been doing it for almost 30 years now.) For these presents I buy really pretty paper, but not Chanukah paper (often I end up buying paper made for weddings because it's often so beautiful, with silver and stuff on it.)
So it doesn't have to be for Chanukah, but please, no Christmas wrap.

If you have any "Christmas" wrapping paper that has just snowflakes or snowmen on it, that will do. Otherwise, take a plain paper grocery bag and wrap the present in that. Then, put a nice ribbon on it, and put some stars of David on it with a blue marker. Or, if you have any construction paper, use that. Here's another idea I saw on HGTV: wrap presents in aluminum foil. The silver is really appropriate for Hanukkah, it is easy to fold, easy to recycle, and will look just lovely with a nice bow on top.

Use the color pages of the newspaper comics or turn your wrapping paper white side out and wrap using blue and silver and white ribbon.
Sure is nice of you to be that thoughtful of your friend's feelings!

wrap w/ paper, and draw jewish stuff on it. it will be more from the heart than buying already made wrapping paper.
and if he asks y u didn't just buy wrapping paper, tell him u wanted it 2 b more from the heart. :)
I don't mean anything deep by "from the heart."

If you have other paper that's plain (but not red or green), or with just snowflakes or snowmen, that's fine. Otherwise, comics, construction paper, brown lunch bag with ribbons and stickers, etc. would be good substitutes.

newspaper is always easy (like the comics or something, although my mom just wraps it in any section).
