If the ancient egyptians were not Africans then the non-african population would have existed somewhere other than africa before migrating to Egypt. But where is the great civilization that would pre-dates egypt that contains all the knowledge egypt was built upon? Where is the great pyramid outside of Africa?

If the Arabs were the original builders of the pyramids why did they wait until migrating to Africa to build them?

Most Egyptologists and anthropologists agree that Ancient Egypt consisted of various peoples of northern and eastern Africa (No Arabs): Eastern- Nubians, Watusi, Beja, Somali, Ethiopians, Oromo, Masai, Afar. Northern- Guanches (extinct), Fulani, Tibbu, Berbers of the Mediterranean (Atlantic and Sahara).

And, yes, the original inhabitants of Egypt were Africans with characteristics commonly associated with whom society generally considers to be "black". Those who don't accept that, I suggest you do a bit of research on the Kememu.

By the way, the archaeological community does not accept that the Pyramid of Hellinikon is the oldest pyramid. If I remember correctly, the oldest pyramid is The Step Pyramid of King Djoser (2650 B.C.E ?).

Don't confuse Egyptians with Arabs!

Classifying people with the name "Arab" did not come about until several centuries after the death of Christ. Egyptians, for some reason always been seperated from Africans despite its geographical location in Northern Africa.

Egypt has been absorbed by many Westernized nations to the point it has for lack of a better term "its own identity" or should I say a stand alone nation within the large continent being Africa, which is why the average person has to scratch their head when you ask them where Egypt is located.

For the sake of arguement, many Westernized nations hate to admit its earliest ancestors were first educated in Africa (Egypt) in Medical, Mathematics, Philosophy.etc...That does not mean every person in Egypt doing the educating had to be "Black" which is a shame that everything we write about on this site boils down to race or color. I too am guilty of this action!

To qoute myself from a history lecture I once gave at a university in Europe, "to get the most out of history you must look at it with an open mind free from what you know today, otherwise you will view the information of yesterday in the way we are conditioned to view it today totally bias and with prejudice.

Anthropologically speaking, Egyptians, now and then are not Black or Arab. They are simply, Egyptian- an ethnicity of their own, not migrants from different areas of the world. Cranial measurements and limb ratio and other studies of mummies have come to show that even Nubians and Somalians are classified as "non-African" (due to facial bone structure and DNA...dark skin doesn't necessarily make you "black").Also due to trade routes and invasions there were Macedonians, Greeks, true "Arabs", Semites, Berbers etc coming into the Egyptian kingdom. And there are pyramids along with other great human accomplishments all over the world, so how do you know that they didn't have great civilizations? For that time, any organized civilization is a great feat to accomplish.

The terms "Egyptian's and African's" as well as "Arabs" are words of todays world and have no bearing on question I believe you are trying to ask. Country borders are lines of recognition that have come into existance AFTER events you are speaking about. You are trying to seperate what, at the time, could only be a "continental" group of people. What you are REALLY questioning is the origins of the "TECHNOLOGICAL explosion" of these "continental" people in such a short period of time. That is a question asked and answered, in MANY ways by the best minds in the world. Problem is that many of these minds come up with DIFFERENT theories which disprove the theories of the others. NOBODY knows. I personally think there are definite possibilities in the alien theory due to the sheer mathmatical fact of numbers. It is sheer stupidity to assume that earth is the ONLY place in the WHOLE universe capable of supporting intelligent beings. Another biblical theory is that a superior being, made in the creators image, came here and lived among us and taught humans many things in a short period of time. It is a fact that in todays world most people only use 10 to 15% of their brain capacity. If in a far away time, humans were shown how, or allowed to, use more of their brain capacity, then anything may have been possible. Loss of things once know can be accredited to many reasons, the REAL question is the ORIGINS of what has now been lost.

Another way of trying to down play Africans. The Hieroglyphics located inside the pyramids in Egypt tells a very different story. The images that I observed are of people with dark pigmentation. The same shades that are predominately of those that live in Africa. What also kills me ,which is so simple to see, that most Arabs wear garments to withstand the vicious sun rays however, the people depicted as Egyptians in the Hieroglyphics did not have to wear such garbs to protect themselves from the sun (it has been shown in history, nomads lived in lands that they could adapt to the climate). What is considered for a person to be considered Black is the pigmentation(melanin) in the skin. Some people must face the truth, we are located everywhere. Sumer was the earliest known civilization. the Sumerians called themselves sag-giga, literally meaning "the black-headed people" and their land ki-en-gir, probably originally meaning "land of the Sumerian tongue (which shows that people from Africa migrated as well). They even have the earliest form of written expression called Cunneiform. " It is so funny how some people try to downplay the contributions that Africans made to civilization but if Africans were that uneducated, then explain to me how they were able to make inventions that were important to American society. When Africans were first bought to this country, Africans were beaten and killed if they were caught reading and for them to overcome such circumstances and still have the intelligence to invent, those are people worthy of admiration.

Elijah McCoy (1843–1929) invented an oil-dripping cup for trains.
Fast Fact: Other inventors tried to copy McCoy's oil-dripping cup. But none of the other cups worked as well as his, so customers started asking for "the real McCoy." That's where the expression comes from.

Lewis Latimer (1848–1928) invented an important part of the light bulb — the carbon filament.

Jan Ernst Matzeliger (1852–1889) invented a shoemaking machine that increased shoemaking speed by 900%!

Granville T. Woods (1856–1910) invented a train-to-station communication system.

George Washington Carver (1860–1943) invented peanut butter and 400 plant products!

Garrett Morgan (1877–1963) invented the gas mask.
Fast Fact: Morgan also invented the first traffic signal.

Otis Boykin (1920–1982) invented the electronic control devices for guided missiles, IBM computers, and the pacemaker.
Fast Fact: Boykin invented 28 different electronic devices.
Dr. Patricia. E. Bath (1949–) invented a method of eye surgery that has helped many blind people to see
There are many more

Trying to re-write history but I know better.

We really need to consider and question who are writing these "so-called" "new found" historical discoveries.

Egypt is in Africa so of course ancient Egyptians were Africans.

If it's black that we're talking about, yes, many of them were what we call black. And the first Egyptians were black too.

And I agree with the person who said the first pyramid wasn't the Pyramid of Hellinikon. Yes there are archeologists who think it is the oldest Pyramid. But the archeological community **IN GENERAL** doesn't accept this because Optical Thermoluminescence was used to test samples. This method is experimental. The dating measurements are considered too early for this pyramid.

Dude who said something about Iran, what's your point? Are you under the impression that Iran was always called Iran? It wasn't. And Aryans didn't arrive until the third millenium BC. But we're not talking about Iran. We're talking about Egypt.

There's many pyramids outside of Africa including Bosnia, so don't get it twisted.. I don't think they were Arabs, I think they were similar because of their noses and features they were brobably mixed with thye asians or orientals as they called them back in the day. There was another tribe of people who lived near by and they were the Nubians (who were basically black as Americans would call them) and some of them got mixed with the Ancient Egyptians too.. Also I don;t think race was a big deal to them back then. I think they got their knowledge from the aliens personally. Peace.

If present day egyptians are considered arabs (semites) then why wouldn't the old day Egyptians?

Actually..the oldest pyramid to date is the Hellinikon in Greece. It wasn't Arabs..

**ADDED**
And to whoever said that archaeologists don't classify the Hellinikon as the oldest pyramid, you're wrong. Studies that were conducted back in March of 2007..yes, that's THIS year, PROVE that it officially IS the oldest pyramid. At first, it was believed to be just a tomb, but was proven otherwise..thank you.
