Or do you just automatically say you will, and them forget about it a few seconds later?

Yes I do. If its someone I don't know that well, I will breathe a quick prayer right then, so I don't forget. If someone I know well, I will usually pray right then, and again more fervently later on.

For many years, when someone asked me to pray for them, I would shake my head and say "yeah, oh yeah...sure will..." then I would forget. Through these years, it became clear to me that I had done a great disservice to both the person and my Lord; there is power in prayer, and when people hear a prayer offered up on their behalf...it can make a world of difference. If someone is asking you to pray, there is a need, or they wouldn't be asking. So now, I don't care where or when I am asked, I pray right then and there for that person and with that person, asking God to Minister to their need. Jesus says "Where there are 2 or more people gathered together, in agreement, I will be there." So when I pray with another person, I know that Jesus is there...He knows the need before we mention it, but He wants us to ask in faith. Thank you for an excellent question.

I always do. I know how serious the power f prayer is. I have had people all over the world praying for my daughter with cancer. I see positive result when prayers are answered. There is nothing more powerful than prayer. I believe that we all need prayers at one time or other. I also give praise when praise is do. I love the Lord and have seen his work just in my life.. Please start praying and never stop. You will see a big change in your life. The Lord wants us to ask when we need him, and he also loves the praise when he answers prayers, and for all his creations.God Bless everyone that believes in prayers and really does pray. Good question.

Yes, regardless if they ask me to or I say I would pray for them, I always carry out my words. But I don't go around to make prayer offers to everybody either, only the cases that touch my heart. Otherwise I would be praying 24/7 for the whole world and even make it into my F/T career. XD

When someone asks me to pray for them, I do it right then. Sometimes when I'm at a grocery store for example, I might notice the cashier is not feeling well, so I'll tell them I'll remember them in prayer. While I'm going out the door on the way to my car, I send up a prayer request for them. Most people I've come into contact with in the public really appreciate it when you tell them you will remember them in your prayers. God bless you!!!

Lovingly,

I consider it a Privilege To Pray.....and especially for those who ask, and are in distress.! Our Father tells Us to Always Pray Ye One for Another. In Matt 2I:22 God says " And all things, What so ever Ye shall ask in Prayer, Believing, Ye Shall receive!" I Love to get alone with God and Bring all My Petitions to Him. Why should we struggle and be destitute , when He Is there to Hear our Cries, and ready to deliver us from our affliction? He always Hears Us, Listening to our Heart, and Promises He will give us Victory..... Yes, Prayer Changes things and People.....We need to pray More..... God says In Isaiah 65:24 "And it shall come to Pass, that Before THEY CALL, I WILL ANSWER, and While THEY are Yet SPEAKING, I WILL HEAR".! >" Thank You, Jesus." Jeremiah 33:3

I always pray when I say I will. I ask permission to add them to a prayer list and then have others join in prayer for them.

I work in a hospital and patients often ask me to pray for them. I take their hand, ask their name and pray on the spot.

Seeing how prayer is directed to God, this now becomes a three way discussion. If I lie, not only have I lied to you, I have also lied to HIm. Now...why would I want to lie to Him?

No, I'm atheist, so I don't believe in the power of prayer, and if I am wrong, and I did pray for them, God might curse them instead of bless them. He/She is(apparently) such a wrathful, vengeful, cruel, incomprehensible, bastard.(if he exists)
