He likes to have breakfast out, in a local restaurant about once a year with the singles. I guess it's his way of letting it be known that us single people are of value to the chruch. It's just going to be me and him. Last year we were both at a loss for words, it's so awkward. I should have cancelled. I have about three hours till I am out the door. What in the world can I talk about?

be yourself, and talk about whatever you want to - you don't need to be formal about it - have a moan if you feel like - he is after all another human like you and me.

What a wonderful opportunity!
I would ask about many things especially ones which are not overtly Christian but which might have a Christian viewpoint e.g. Iraq, Palestine, Guns, Is he going to see Golden Compass or did he see Da Vinci Code, Poverty throughout the world, Global Warming etc - Three hours will pass quickly.
Don't forget the fun - discuss sport or anything like that which you enjoy.
Have fun and learn a lot.

Ask him to make comments on the following:

I believe that when a sinner is to be saved the Holy Spirit convicts him of his sins and shows him that he needs a Savior. God the Father draws the sinner repetitive sinner to His Son Jesus. and I Believe that Jesus is Faithful to Save the person if he confesses that he believes that Jesus is the Son of God and that Jesus dies for his sins.
Please take good notes and e-mail me what the pastor has to say.
Thanks and God Bless You,
David

He is a person like your self. I am sure he has other interests. My pastor is a Chelsea fan so football for me is a good ice breaker. I'm sure you could have a good chat with him if you act naturally and have a really good breakfast., my pastor loves going for fat mans breakfasts

Talk about what is going on in YOUR life. Your job. Your hobbies. Your social network. Talk about current events. Ask him if he's ever been on Yahoo! Answers before. When he says, "What's that?" you'll have a topic of endless conversation. :)

Talk about how nervous you were about meeting, so you asked yahoo answers what to talk about. Print out the replies and share it, that should kill an hour.

Read the Bible Code, http://abiblecode.tripod.com

Then ask him what Daniel 12:11,12 mean. It may embarrass him as he won't know the answer because its the only part of the Bible that says no-one can understand it until the end of the days.

Well if you don't want to be there just tell him, life is too short to listen to people you don't want to be around,I always say to people who invite themselves to sit with me,that I don't wish to be rude but what they are attempting to discuss is of no interest to me and I would much rather they left as life is to short to have your time wasted....
