Are brown people and black people the same thing? When mean brown people I meant people from like India and places like that and when I mean black people I mean people from Africa.

I am sorry I worded my question wrong. I meant are people from places from India and people from Africa the same color?

Most people mean Indian (from India), or Hispanic when they say "brown" but it's pretty stupid since I've seen many Indians and Hispanics that were much darker than some "black" people. I would say it was the same. It has to do with the hue. You know like "people of color". That is a much better way to group all non white people. And it usually doesn't offend people the way calling them "black" and "brown" can.
