Think about it; Heaven has streets of gold and pearly gates, choirs of angels and believers praising God without end for all eternity.

Vegas has, well, everything else.

Which place would you rather end up....?

It seems that when an unsolved question is up for vote, the Christians and the Atheists tie up the vote on their top two answers, and whenever the question unsolved is in another religious group, the Christians sometimes even try to quote Holy Bible verses to a non-Christian questioner (examples are Buddhists and Islamics, who have posted in the past and had Christian answerers trying to show their Biblical knowledge). I am a firm believer that if someone doesn't believe the same as I do, that's their priviledge, and I wouldn't want to force any belief on someone else because I wouldn't want them to do that to me (sorry to use the Golden Rule). Why make references to a book which the questioner may not have to verify? 'Because the synoptic Gospels say so' doesn't answer if the questioner is either unaware of what a 'Gospel' is, or if they believe differently. All responses are welcome, as long as you abide by the community guidelines, which are available by link on the main page.

All great apes have a very well developed cortex. Especially chimpanzees and humans. So what do you think? I think we would interact with apes just as well as with people with mental defects.

Company Christmas party starts at 7:00, as does my second grader's holiday program...is it disrespectful to show up late for the party so that I may attend my child's function first? School program should last only an hour at most....thanks!

Has God predetermined which people will obey Him? Has He decided in advance who will be righteous--who will be christians & ultimately be saved? If this is true, could He also have determined who will be lost? Are all people in the catagory of either "lost" or "saved"? What does the Bible have to say about all this? I know we should repent of our sins and be saved. But, where does the above fit in?

The flyer seems to imply that the Sunday service is up to 9 hours, and there is a "night-meeting" on Wednesdays.

Is this mandatory in most Baptist Churches? Can we omit what we have to to deal with our schedules? If we do, will we be bombarded by others in the church to "Stay on track"?
