His wife has just lost her job, and Christmas is coming. He is a proud self reliant person.

KS gave me a link to an excellent interview with muhammed abdul bari, the head of the muslim country of britain.

KS was particularly interested in how mr. bari argues that the way that uk law prevents moslems from stoning women for adultery is an infringement of civil liberties.

mr. bari also explains that the united kingdom is virtually a fascist state for prosecuting prospective suicide bombers, since "The people who become suicide bombers are really vulnerable."

mr. bari also reminds us that it is wrong to regret the shoah, and explains why the bookshop he supervises stocks race-hatred literature.

when the united nations criticised the taleban for using a sports stadium bought with foreign aid money for public executions, the taleban explained that they needed a further grant to build an execution ground.

do all moslems think this way? or just the good ones?

A few hours after a judge ruled that a 14-year-old Jehovah's Witness sick with leukemia had the right to refuse a blood transfusion that might have helped him, the boy died.

Obviously, homosexuality is banned, and I think masturbation.

But what about oral sex? Anal sex between heterosexual couples? Bondage? Fetishes? Porn? Are there any rules about them? (Please cite chapter & verse.)

That it is rude to disrespect others and their beliefs? I am sorry to break it to you but if someone posts a question, asking who their patron saint is, they don't need you to come into the question and try to debunk their beliefs. They didn't ask "HEY GUYS, CAN YOU CONVINCE ME MY FAITH IS WRONG PLEASE?"

Are some of the people on R&S really just here to try and make themselves feel better about their stupid choice for religion? Are you trying to find some kind of confirmation? Some solice in breaking down others faiths?

You act like we are all in public school. Some kids get picked on for weight, status, and ability. The same happens here, but for personal beliefs of which you don't belong in judging.

Grow. Up.

I have asked Christians in my life before if they have read the bible and they say they didn't get through all of it, or just the new testament, or the fact Jesus saved them is all they need to know.

A man walking along a lonely road oneday saw a parrot's feather on the side of the road and told the next man whom he happened to meet that he saw 10 parrot feathers near the road.

That man in turn met another man and told him that he saw 10 dead parrots near the road.

now this story developed to the point where that 1 parrots feather became 10,000 dead parrots

Dont you think this applies to our religions as well?

I have been a Christian since I was young. We always went to church and sunday school. I am born again and I was baptised by full immersion when I was 18.

The thing is my life does not look like a Christian at all. I got pregnant when I was 22, got married and divorced soon after because he was promiscuous and abusive (he always called himself a Christian).

I only have a handful of Christian friends, I can not quote the bible, I am in debt. When I separated from my husband I was intimate with several men, not full sexual intercourse but with some quite x rated stuff.

I am despairing - will my life ever be religious and Godly?

"...if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done."

If the Bible says faith can move mountains, should we take that literally? I sure think so.

What is faith? Is it choosing to believe truth regardless of outward appearances?

Does someone out there have an example of how using actual real world physics faith can cause mountains to move and even cause them to be cast into the sea?

Is it possible for a seemingly small and unrelated event such as faith (small as a mustard seed faith) to cause a butterfly on the other side of the world to flutter its wings which leads to the eventual casting of a mountian into the sea by the movement of tectonic plates. Does anyone have any ideas on how faith can lead to the butterfly fluttering its wings in the first place? What events would occur between the initial faith, the butterfly's flutter and mountain being cast into the sea?
