Obviously, homosexuality is banned, and I think masturbation.

But what about oral sex? Anal sex between heterosexual couples? Bondage? Fetishes? Porn? Are there any rules about them? (Please cite chapter & verse.)

I'm not a Christian myself... I'm just in the middle of a debate about sexual morality with a Christian friend.

Hussein H -- I know this is off-topic, but does it occur to you that some of us girls *enjoy* receiving anal sex?

My friend, the Bible does not ban anything at all. It just sets forth standards and it also does reveal the consequences of different acts. The Bible is a great book of perfect information about this entire creation and not a rule or law book as most so called Christians want most to believe.

In respect to Homosexuality, it is the denial of a birth right and it will have of course consequences. Other than that there is no other of the like and the idea of masturbation being a no - no is a foolish concept.

Why don't you read the Bible. I am sure you will be amazed at what it really says my friend.

The Bible bans oral and anal sex at the same time that it bans homosexuality and masterbation .... since it is very unlikely that either will lead to pregnancy it is not acceptable. I don't know if it says anything about bondage or fetishes. Porn would fit under lust and the bible says to even think of a lustful act is to commit it. I am not going to search in the bible to find the exact verses because I know they exist - I've done plenty of studying in my time trying to understand the reason I am the way I am (homosexual) - the bible doesn't provide an answer.

BTW does KS stand for Kansas? I am in Kansas too ...

I can't believe people, nothing has changed sense Jesus walked the earth preaching God' word. God gave man free will. What we do is up too use. Every time some one does some timing wrong, God cries. You talk about sex. That's not the important thing, What about racism? Don't you care about how other's are treating each other? re-read the bible, for every word that say's it's not right, God forgive's, so why does people put their noise in other people's live's. It also say's we are not to judge other's, only God is the judge, and aren't you worried that he is going to judge you for judging other's. You should be paying attention to your own lives, not other's, Unless it's too help someone

Beastiality was said to be a sin.

I don't know about incest but there are many things that the Bible take for granted. And you have to take to consideration that the priests who translated the book are misinterpreting some of its teachings!

Although the bible never mentions other women at the time of Cain and Abel, one possibility is of racial discrimination. Whoever translated it, didn't want its people to know that the saints have seeded inferior race to multiply. So they leave it unknown. But because they have, it makes us think of incestuous actions committed by the two.

How do you suppose Adam and Eve were able to make many children and their children able to multiply? Because there were other people of other race about. And those people of different race could have been the link to the ape men. Ever wondered why the neantherthalians died out? Perhaps Adam and Eve's children and the Neantherthalian children produced us.

It may sound far-fetched but it's a possibilty.

And yeah. God told us to multiply but never to make a game out of a sacred act! Goodness what's the world getting at?

There is some level of interpretation required in order to get a reasonably straight answer to that question, so obviously different Christians are going to give you different answers.

Anal sex is physically damaging to any and all who practice it, so I believe it is taboo.

Everything else in your list there is fair game between a husband and his wife.

Whoops sorry about that, with the exception of PORN. Unless it's a tape of you and your husband, then you are violating the commandment against adultery. (See where Christ says if you even look at another woman with lust in your heart...)
I don't think Christ would want us hurting each other physically, because marriage is a reflection between the marriage of Christ and the body of believers, the Church.

Here is what Martin Luther said quote

God has appointed me for the whole Protestant faith, and I boldly vouch and declare that when you obey me you are without a doubt obeying not me but Christ Whoever does not, despises not me but Christ. I believe that we are the last trump that sounds before Christ is coming. What I teach and write remains true even though the whole world should fall to pieces over it. Whoever rejects my doctrine cannot be saved. Nobody should rise up against me. I have greater confidence in my wife and my pupils than I have in Christ, When I beheld Christ I seemed to see the Devil. I had a great aversion for Christ. I was horrified at the name of Christ, and when I regarded Him on the Cross, it was as if I had been struck by lightning; and when I heard His name mentioned, I would rather have heard the name of the Devil. I did not believe in Christ. God did mischievously blind me; God often acts like a madman God paralyses the old and blinds the young and thus remains master. I look upon God no better than a scoundrel God is stupid. Christ committed adultery with the woman at the well about whom Saint John tells us. Was not everybody saying: `What has he been doing with her?” Secondly, with Mary Magdalene, and thirdly with the woman taken in adultery whom He dismissed so lightly. Thus even Christ, who was so righteous, must have been guilty of fornication before He died. It does not matter what people do; it only matters what they believe. God does not need our actions. All He wants is that we pray to Him and thank Him. It does not matter how Christ behaved what He taught is all that matters. What does it matter whether we commit a new sin? Faith cancels all sin. No other sin exists in the world except unbelief, Sometimes it is necessary to commit some sin out of hatred and contempt for the Devil. What does it matter if we commit a sin. You must say my sins are not mine; they are not in me at all; they are the sins of another they are Christ's and are none of my business. Christianity is nothing but a continual exercise in feeling that you have no sin although you sin, but that your sins are thrown on Christ. From the moment you acknowledge that Christ bears your sins, He becomes the sinner in your place. Be a sinner, and sin boldly, but believe more boldly still. Not only men, but the Saints and Apostles must be sinners. The Saints must be good, downright sinners. The Apostles themselves were sinners, regular scoundrels…I believe that the prophets also frequently sinned grievously. You owe nothing to God except faith and confession. In everything else He lets you do whatever you like. You may do as you please, without any danger of conscience whatsoever. Marriage is an outward material thing like any other secular business. The body has nothing to do with God. In this respect one can never sin against God, but only against one's neighbor. The matrimonial duty is never performed without sin. The matrimonial act is a sin differing in nothing from adultery and fornication
The word and work of God is quite clear, women were made either to be wives or prostitutes. If your wife does not want sex, take another. It is not forbidden that a man cant have more than one wife.

Why obviously any of the above?
Sexual mores are usually dictated by those who "quote" the bible, generally to exercise power over those who follow.
Actually read your bible and find out for yourself, don't assume anything.
Also, get some good history books and find out what things really were like back in the days when the bible was actually written/assembled.
You might be surprised.

pretty much each and every faith has very strict regulations around family contributors family and human reproduction. while you're non secular, you have self assurance it is because of the fact the introduction of human existence is a maximum serious and sacred concern, and that constancy and cohesion in family contributors existence are key areas of holy living. while you're no longer non secular, then you definately understand that there are solid Darwinian forces driving each and every element of reproduction. the whole theory of understanding precisely who's fathered by using whom, and merits which tribal risk-free practices is a brilliant evolutionary deal. Any non-procreative intercourse, any lineage perplexing intercourse, and any volatile intercourse are all counter evolutionary. the two way, anticipate the main effective cultural and emotional and social strictures around intercourse. If God supplies suggestion in the bible, it fairly seems to be counseling remote from promiscuity. purely to be careful, Joseph placed off intercourse together with his spouse Mary until after the messiah became into born. look on the biblical virtues. If the bible isn't God's good suggestion to human beings, then think of Darwinian. the two way, its annoying to make a case for promiscuity different than you opt to. are you able to return up with a measurable cost to it?
