I mean suppose we ate something here that was considered wrong over there, would we stop eating it? Would we like to be told what to do? I just don't see where people are coming from. Please explain.

I am vegetarian, and if I told any of you to stop eating what you eat, it wouldn't go down very well for you would it? I'm trying to see both sides of the story.

Animals are animals. You eat a cow, a pig, a dolphin.... what diffference does it make? Why the outrage?

Anti-whaling = Racism??? You have GOT to be kidding!?!

Whales of every species are damned near EXTINCT and the Japanese still insist on hunting them for "cultural" reasons, which is quite frankly just arrogant bullsh*t. The Japanese have decided, for whatever reason, that they have the god-given right to kill off every last whale in the oceans if they choose to do so because they figure "nobody is allowed to tell them what to do". And since Japan is one of the richest countries on the planet, they aren't exactly hurting for food sources that they "need" to go kill off whales like they keep saying they do (especially since they consider whale meat to be a "delicacy"). Whaling is cruelty for the sake of being cruel, plain and simple.

Well the Japanese feel it's either the whales or them. you see every year the whales organize a Japanese hunt and we just don't hear about it because of subversive journalism in cahoots with the whales. It's racism all right, no other distinct part of the human race is so mericlessly hunted down by whales like the poor Japanese (The Japanese taste like marshmallows to whales and whales love marshmallows). The whales also steal a lot of their trade goods like IPods and Toyota automobiles and they can't even use that stuff. The Japanese are in a fight for their very survival! Remember, today it's the Japanese getting stalked, hunted and harvested by the whales, tomorrow it could be YOU!

Of course.... everything is racist....

They are killing whales that are on protected lists. Not just that they don't have the balls to say why they are really killing whales, they just hide behind 'scientific research'.
And it is more than just America that is against this. Whales are not farmed for food like other animals. Once they are gone, that is it. Cows are not a protected species... I fail to see how you cannot grasp this concept.

Because the Japanese like to test our laws here in Australia by constantly attempting to hunt protected whales in Australian waters. Whales are becoming rarer by the day and the method of killing them is inhumane.

People want ANYTHING to get themselves on television...suppose a bunch of Hindus come here and demand we stop slaughtering the cows..GASP -god forbid!!!Besides they are just NOW mad about that?I mean they've been eating this meat for thousands of years! Get a clue people. Also have you ever seen REAL dolphins in nature?(Hayden was trying to save the "gentle " creatures from the Japanese)They are some violent and mean creatures and they would just as soon tear a human from limb to limb-get National Geographic fools!.Get over it already-Americans think they can just run sh*t and well we just can't--meanwhile the same Americans are running around killing snakes and gators for their Jimmy Choo's.Please can we say HYPOCRITES!!! I agree with you totally.
