Well I am definately not looking for any arguments or pushing an extreme view - just some doubts !

If Jesus actualy named the religion of his faith when he was alive - what would he wanted the followers of his religion to be identified as ?

The cross is a material just like the Holy grail and others - why must a religion named after some material then the founder himself.

(1 Sam 6:19 RSV) And he (God) slew some of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they looked into the ark
of the LORD; he slew

seventy men of them, and the people mourned because the Lord had made a great slaughter among the people.

I asked if any Christians wished that there was no Hell (eternal torment) and one response was:

"Why should it be a stumbling block for me, One day I was headed for hell when I was a sinner, But God let me know that I don't have to go there, so hell is not one bit a concern to me now."

It seems to me that even completely confidently saved Christians would worry about the eternal destination of others, yet here one clearly states that it is of no concern to him (and he wasn't the only one that said this).

I used to be Christian but could no longer tolerate the idea of even one person in torment for eternity (whether they were family or a stranger).

So is it necessary for Christians to become callous to the eternal torment of others to have any staying power as a Christian? Are there any Christians here that struggle with the idea of others in eternal torment?

Thanks for your sincere answers.

This question was inspired by another one in which it was asked: "Are you a pervert?"

While people may answer this question on a personal basis, I think it could also be interesting to hear what people consider to be a pervert.

I assume that some people who don't consider themselves perverts might in some other people's standards, and vice-versa.

So... how do you see a pervert?

Eph. 5:4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

isn't this passage just attacking creation science with it's "foolish talk", and shouldn't these people be thanking the real scientists who are making progress every day?

With what is Europe going to re-colonise us? Is it with the band of badly-educated, badly-informed, uncultured, uncouth weirdoes, with heads and minds filled with every chemical known to chemistry, that one see on the streets of Europe today?

Of course, they can also try and throw their ‘precision bombs’ here and there. But then bombing is not occupation or colonization, as the Iraqi resistances are gallantly proving! Or perhaps, the oxymoronic outfits they call intelligence agencies have gathered another ‘solid evidence’ that showed that some 3rd world are waiting with garlands of flowers to welcome new colonizers. Give me a break!

if we have to be colonized again we should, at least, be colonize by a more decent specimen of the human race, and not by the miscreants and the riff-raffs and the homophobes
that only Europe is capable of siring!

No one, especially not a European, is ever going to colonize me. And this is true for every ppl I know, aside from a few

Guide dogs need to be predictable and usually are Labrador retrievers. With autism, the dog needs a certain ability to deal with the upredictable and solve problems instead of strict rules. What dogs have you found autistic persons do well with? What breed/crosses would you recommend and why that type?

For example, a herding dog to stop a child from wandering away or escaping out a window? or a tracker for getting lost? Or a dog that takes social initiative? Or signals for inappropriate behavior? Deal with sudden behavior change?

Another way to respond: What do you want a dog to do and what skills does the dog need to do those tasks? Thanks

That's my birthday so I'm trying to figure this out and I'm not finding a lot of info online. I read a bit about Arianrhod, but here's what left me confused:
1) I couldn't find any myths as to WHY December 11th is considered sacred to Arianrhod.
2) Does the "Snow Queen Goddess" have a name? Who is she specifically?
3) I understand the celebration known as the Day of Bruma that fell on this day, but is Bruma a Roman goddess?
4) I can gather no information at all on Yuki Onne.
Thanks for any help in advance!
