Sugar in Tea, it's the Devils own drink. Once I was chased threw the woods by a big Royal Dalton Cup brimming with steaming hot sugared tea(I think it was Orange Pekoe!) and I've never gotten over it. To this very day, late in the evening when only the occasional hoot of an owl and the far away mournful sound of a solitary train can be heard I sometimes see an Ironware Mug filled with this boiled beverage peeking into my bedroom windows.....looking; ever looking for it's chance to strike!

Mice give me the creeps and I am deathly afraid of islands...
Not sure why I am afraid of mice maybe because they scurry rather than walk and have beady eyes and chompy teeth...
I know why I am afraid of islands.... When I was a small child I was at a park on an island in the middle of a lagoon, while I was there a water pipe burst flooding the island and dumping me into the lagoon... Since then I have had a fear of islands sinking... I have been trying to over come the fear I am now able to visit island as small at Catalina off the coast of California without fear... Eventually I will lick the fear and be able to visit any island... One step at a time :)
As for the mice I will stand on the table pointing and yelling "KILL IT!!!!!!!!!" it's seems to be working quite well so far LOL

My fears revolve around my hubby retiring from the military sometime in the next 5 years, and it's fear of the unknown. Will I find a teaching job? Will he find a job he's truely happy in? Will we be able to afford a nice house in the city we retire to? Will my girls be able to make the change from AF brats to civilian life? Heck, will I??
I know that in the end, God will take care of it when I finally lay it all at His feet. But, since I'm human and letting go is a daily struggle for me, I have fears!

I'm afraid of failing as a parent. When I was 20 I was raped by a horrible man and had his child. Don't ask - I just couldn't give up on that baby, it wasn't his fault after all. But I am afraid that I won't be able to give my son the love he deserves. It's hard.

Certain kinds of spiders. Wolf spiders especially, but I've only ever encountered one of those inside. Mostly it's white-tailed spiders, and the warm weather we're having tends to drive them inside. I've already found two this month. The redbacks are more deadly but they tend to keep out of my way, so we don't have a problem. Not often, anyway.

I am not afraid of nothing. Fear is only the act of the enemy. trying to decieve you and make you think bad thoughts. Keep your mind on Jesus and everything will be okay, just the God take care of you.

(isn't it curious how many shallow answers there are? guess what most people truly fear is honestly looking inside themselves and confronting what they find)
