Would you just let everyone live as they want to and call it good? I mean let you rape whoever you want...smoke all the pot you want, just play on the devils playground and call it good?

My sister's science teacher told the class that he believes some god or supernatural force must exist because of the high level of efficiency/order seen in life. For example, many plants are green, which is the most efficient color for photosynthesis. He probably also mentioned something about life's complexity.

Is it unlikely for natural selection to be responsible for this? It seems to me that green plants would simply have a better chance at survival. If anything, wouldn't some bizarre, inefficient form of life that has managed to survive and cannot be explained naturally be a better example of the supernatural?

The thing is I work with him and he gives me attention back and I can tell that he likes me too but I really don't want this to escalade any further.
I feel very guilty, but with each passing day I find myself more and more attracted to him.

aside from finding a new job, what else can I do ??

... really? So only Christians are capable of "true" peace, joy, and love? What do you think of that statement? Where does that leave the rest of us?

I'm not gay, just a slightly effeminate, artsy, sensitive guy.
All my life, I've been trying hard to stay out of the way of the expectations of bloke culture, because it bores me.
I hate sports, I don't know what's on the news, and I prefer tea, cats, wine, and a quiet evening at home with candles, possibly including some yoga and a hot bath.

And I just had an idea: What if I started telling people I was gay? Would they finally let me do what I like, and not try to entice me to go fishing with them or have beers with the other blokes while some rugby game is on?

I'd just like to be myself without having to explain all the time. What do you think, would that be an option? I live in a country where being gay would be considered all right.

Can't we just come back to the table and celebrate each others?
At the very least we can let everyone celebrate what ever they wish to celebrate. It should not offend anyone.
It has gotten SO out of control. People can not even ask for prayers, well wishes or what have you anymore here in North America.

I think that we have to be very careful about trying to obtain "Exclusive Freedom" it can be a tricky thing , usually you are going to have to trample someone Else's freedom in the process of trying to obtain your own.

Naturally, and specifically, I am of speaking of the freedoms granted or taken for granted in non repressed households, cultures and/or Countries.
What are your views?

I would appreciate civil answers.
I do not mean to offend, if I do I apologize ahead of time.
You may let me know in a civilized manner and I will be enlightened.

so i watched Fallen, i was wondering . if male angels can father children. can female angel give birth. do the males have semen or is it divine conception or something.??? because if this is the case why didn't the male and female angels just mate with each other and not seek out human women since they thought we were not worthy, anyway.

At work we are sponsoring a local family for Christmas. I volunteered to buy a present for each child. The girl is 9 yrs old and the boy is 11 years old. I do not know anything about these children & what they like so I need suggestions! What kind of reasonably priced gifts can I buy these children?! As others are buying gifts as well we were thinking about $20-2$5 per gift or an assortment that totals around that amount.

I don't know enough to even ask this question (sorry) but have you ever tried to play any of the video games? X-Box, Play Station, and whatever is new out there? What game? What was your experience with it?

I played my nephews Terminator game when they were kids (a long time ago). It was kind of fun. I played very bad but I can see how it can be addicting for the young ones. As I played longer, I got better. Other adults had to pull me off. Never played since.

I'm Catholic. I've been Catholic all my life, and I'm pretty sure that I plan to be Catholic til the rest of my life.
I have a friend who's a Jehovah's Witness.
And I was talking to her about how my week just totally/completely sucked. I was also talking to her about how my faith in God is swaying a little bit.
Then she says something on the lines of...

"Well, I was just thinking... and my other friend who goes to my Hall suggested the same thing. I mean, it seems like you're unhappy with it (Catholicism) so can I tell you about my religion? I won't be preach-y but just tell you about it. I'm not telling you to convert, but just to listen. We can answer all the questions you had about the Bible and how some people are translating the Bible wrong..."
Something to that effect.
I have been told that Jehova's Witness have a tendency to be cult-ish? correct me if i'm wrong.

So. What should I do?
Because I'm not interested into converting at all.

These trees were grown on tree farms for Christmas, so is it a bad thing to buy them, is it a political no-no due to saving the earth? I have always used artifical trees, due to less mess. What are your thoughts on the subject?
