ok - here is an idea for ornament exchange - works also well with a white elephant gift - or $5 gift
*********************************************
say you have 20 people total at the party
draw numbers 1-20 from a hat
person #1 get to choose what ever present they want - open it
***now beginning with
person # 2 - opens present - # 1 stands up
- if person 2 likes their present they can keep it-and person 1 sits
if person 2 likes 1's better - they trade - and #1 sits down
2's turn is over
person 3 picks - 1 and 2 stand(holding presents in front)
3 likes theirs - 1 and 2 sit - - - -OR
3 wants # 1 - trades for #1 and 3 sits
#1 now can trade BACK with #2 and 1 and 2 sit -= cause #2 cannot trade cause all are sitting down
basically - if you don't like your present when you open it -
you can trade-and you sit
- and then if you're traded WITH - you can trade for someone still standing - then you sit down - and yours is not available(in that round)
- and next person traded with until all are sitting - or someone says - I'll keep this and that round is over
WHEN YOU GET TO #20 - and the trading is almost over
hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe...
after all presents are opened and round 20 is complete
ALL STAND
*****#1 gets to choose from the whole group - - - - - -
and the last series of trades go down - until all are sitting
or someone stops and says I like this one
there will be screaming - hollering - and a party that won't be

I am rather astonished at some of the answers to this question. mistletoes are nice decorations but at many Chritmas partie the mistle toe comes as an embarassent to them rather than innocent fun as the feel "forced to kiss under the mistle toe" My suggestions for a fun relaxing non-stressed X-mas party would be Christmas Karyoke, Christmas Trivia, Name that Christmas carol. Also a fun game I played was making a funny (non realistic) Christmas gift to the person sitting to left. Another fun one is a game to race to open a christmas gift filled with layers of wrapping paper and boxes, the catch is every one is wearing a hat, gloves, coat and oven mits while opening the samll gift wrapped in many boxes and large amounts of wrapping paper.
I hope theses games provide you with a variety of fun and extremely entertaining choices for your adult Christmas party with out all of the crude humor and embarassing and akward "kiss under the mistle toe" nonsence!

Drinking games are always fun. There are many websites that can give you good ideas. Throw in some good food and good music and you've got yourself a party!

If You have a playstation, you could play singstar with adults. you would be surprised with how many adults love to play that. And/Or you could play guitar hero on xbox.

Have a fun christmas kareoke. Eveyone knows christmas songs and it may be a way to get everyone to loosen up and have a good time :)
