I'm not gay, just a slightly effeminate, artsy, sensitive guy.
All my life, I've been trying hard to stay out of the way of the expectations of bloke culture, because it bores me.
I hate sports, I don't know what's on the news, and I prefer tea, cats, wine, and a quiet evening at home with candles, possibly including some yoga and a hot bath.

And I just had an idea: What if I started telling people I was gay? Would they finally let me do what I like, and not try to entice me to go fishing with them or have beers with the other blokes while some rugby game is on?

I'd just like to be myself without having to explain all the time. What do you think, would that be an option? I live in a country where being gay would be considered all right.

Tahini, you're someone special. Stay that way, don't put a gay persona in front of the real you. That might better the situation right now, but in the long run it might make things ten times worse. Such things tend to develop a life of their own, that's a fact I had to learn the hard way. And why do you have to explain yourself at all? Persons who can't take you as you are aren't worth the breath you need for long explanations.

So while you're tempting him to violate his vows you at the instant are not from now on suited than the snake interior the backyard Tempting Adam and Eve. you have already reason one Priest to sin so comprehend you prefer to attempt for yet another? That would be like a reverse closet. Don't do that! Be who you are. Life is lived easier when you are honest with yourself and those around you. Remember, you don't have to explain yourself to anyone. If they can't process what you tell them, slowly back away ;)

If it makes life easier and you don't mind telling them that, then I say go for it. I generally don't condone lying, but this seems like it will make you happier and not hurt anyone, so it seems okay. Your friends might get upset if they find out that you've been lying, and you might have problems meeting girls. Actually, maybe not... :-)

Just stick to your true colors. You are who you are, and if someone got a problem with that, it's their problem.

most of the people don't know what it is but accept you like you are.. a bit 'strange' or 'special' ..(that's what you really are, special)
