Boredom is of the conditioned mind, it is restless because it wants more input aka T.V. music, useless mind diversions, etc. The conditioned mind does not want you to spend time in quiet reflection because that might lead to waking up, getting over conditioned mind, or {dare I say it} enlightenment! So, it sends you the message you are bored so you will run off into another input diversion & ensure you stay asleep just a little longer. Knowing exactly the nature of the beast is also the spiritual solution, with knowledge you then have a choice. Blessings.

Boredom is a result of either over-exertion or dislikes.
In either case, your nerves get tensed.
Meditation is the right answer to this. It will relieve your nerves. Thought process gets retarded and you feel better.
Now about the dislikes - Over a period of time, we all have developed some likes and dislikes. We feel unhappy without second thought while facing a dislike. Attitudal change is required to prevent our own nerves from getting tensed at the dislikes. Detach yourself from 'material'. For example, you hear a song you don't like, then do not pay attention to the song, you will still hear it but now you don't 'listen' to it. This will relieve you from boredom. Just try.

Number 1, love god with all your heart, mind and body. Number two, love your brother the same way, maybe even more. There are many to love out there. You should have no problem doing this at this time of year. It doesn't take money, it takes self. Give and it shall be given unto you. Boredom is not usually found in a believer's vocabulary.

It's to go out and take a walk on the street and think how much good you could do in your neighbourhood with the time you spend doing nothing.
It's impossible to be bored when you offer your time for the sake of others.
God bless you

Cheer up. Make a choice....... "I love my life". Ask for guidance and accept what comes. Start living. Begin to like who lives within and encourage the self to feel valuable and unique, as one surely is. Willingly release being bored. There's always a choice. Get back to nature, people, animals, art, do something one loves..........just start loving everything and everyone. Or gift one's self and become a Reiki channel......
