Makes sense. Pretty much it is saying that how people see you is defined by what you think and do, right?

I think it references the ideas behind the fairy tale story of "The emperors new clothes..." rather eloquently. To me it seems a bland statement observing that society tends to view us through the expression of our thoughts as well as our actions (although it seems redundant to say "deeds -and- action.") in other words how we walk the walk is as important as how we talk the talk... That being said; I'm sorry to say that I'm a bit confused by the way you asked the question, because the topic seems completely irrelevant to belief or non-belief.
- Why would you specifically ask for an atheist's thoughts on this subject instead of any other?
- Or rather how would theist opinions be significantly different on this subject?

Nice an cryptic.

One could use it to spin almost anything depending on how you interpret the word 'clothing'.

Could be how we appear to others.
Could be how we want to appear to ourselves and others.
Could be a disguise for what we really are
Could be as something to insulate us from the harsh realities of the world.

You should try and get that put into a religious text. It sounds deep, can be used to say almost whatever you want it to, and in reality means very little.

What is the difference between "deed" and "action"? Why do only atheists need to consider it? What are fundo's clothed in? Have you taken your medication?

My thoughts are fine. My deeds are somewhat lack luster. And I gotta say, I love the jeans I have on right now.

Sorry, I got distracted by the crappy spelling in your name.

As for the quote...? You're right, more religious people should act in a better way towards others. Well said.

It's not bad, but such pithy quotes tend to suffer from over-generalization.

I have no problem with my thoughts, my deeds and my actions.
And my fashion sense is impeccable.
