No not anything that great. People were just sick of being told what to do.

Are you serious? Don't go voting for the Socialists just yet my worrisome friend. Think for a second: We are the only society in the world where people govern and control their rights. In less than 200 years of Independence we were the greatest nation in the World. Noone in history has come close to the invention or innovation that we've provided the world. We are in a slump right now, and it's attitude that's causing it. The greatest generation (depression and WWII) worked and fought so that their children could have thinhs better and easier. The baby boomers are the result. A good percentage of them are not 1/2 the men or women that their parents were. Children of my generation have grown up without proper discipline or etiquette. We have a generation of teenagers that haven't had jobs - because the illegal immigrants are doing those jobs. We are not a social experiment gone wrong, we have gone extremely right - we are constantly making adjustments though. Look at history: have their ever been any nations nearly as successful or fruitful? There are nations out there who have been around for thousands of years and have never had a decent economy, school system, military, etc. We have all of those things in less than 300 years. Stop sleeping through History class - it is important! Be patient, things will change, and then change again, etc.

No.
I believe the "Founding Fathers" truly believed they had developed a Constituion that would treat all people equal; and, at the time, it did.
Those who wrote the Constitution wrote it for the time in which they were living. They were not privileged to seeing into the future: A future that would include the War Between the States, WWI, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, conflicts in Palestine, Israel, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq.
In Washington, Jefferson, Adam's, Madison, and Monroe's era, the Far East and Middle East were considered barbaric--Middle Age, Feudal--Certainly not countries that were a threat to America!
America was not founded on "social experimentation"; but, over the past 300 years, America developed into one.

The person who makes a statement like this should be made to explain his position and reasons for that position. Please name countries who have a better form of government ? Explain " a social experiment gone wrong ". Is the communist form of government more conducive for freedom of speech? Is this a statement resulting from a discussion in one of your college classes? Have you experienced the " wrong of this social experiment"? Or are you a smoke blower covering up an inadequacy!

People who have come from other countries that have had nothing and start their lives all over again don't think so, I have a vet who has proudly explained to his father that he practices medicine in the town where Archibald Willard was born. His father became familiar with the painting "Spirit of 76".I think he likes it here.

In some ways I believe. If you have a strong family, foundation, most likely you will not fall victim or prey to the many stimuli in USA.

It appears to be headed in that direction, if you believe what you read & hear. I don't think Americans will allow it to interfere with their daily lives, so it's not going to get noticed until it's too late & then.....you'd better hope that no one has any guns left, cuz it's gonna get ugly!
