I am currently a non-practicing Catholic, this question is to Jehova Witness? Is there an agreement that every scripture counts? I have been told by family, priests, and doctors alike who all claim to be Christain in one form or another that the existence of demons, demonic spirits and anthing related to an antichrist is nothing more than fan-faction. I am finding a common thread among many neo-non-denominational Christains who write books also that "How to imrpove you.....A Better you ect? Does not the scripture teach us we owe a thanks to God and it is not so much about getting promoted at work, or getting "more pleasure" but to spread the word..not the merely teach one how to gain physical and earthly wealth right? " Matthew 6:19 "Lay up not for yourselves treasures upon Earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through or steal; for wherever you treasure is your heart will be there also"

Why do Christians say that the god they worship is good when in the bible he kills so many people, supports slavery, and everything else we find so morally wrong we would give a person life in prison or death for? In the bible Jesus was a very good man. But I don't see how people can see the biblical god as good.

I notice he always smiles when talking to me. He doesn't cross his arms around me like he does when he's around other people.

I playfully touch him every now and again, and he doesn't seem to be annoyed by it.

I'm hoping that he's gay. What else can I do to know for sure?

when we look back at the bad things that have happened because of christianity (like the salem witch trails, the iquisition, ect.) people say that those were the "bad" christians and that satan was the true culprit.
But i can't help but to notice that those things weren't necessary done by the "bad" people, becuase they acted in earnest. No one, including satan, was at fault for those things.
THe atrocities that occured were products of their own unmodern times. So this means that "bad" things occured for arbitrary reasons, right?

and ijma (concensus of scholars) and qiya (method of reasoning by analogy). Why isn't it able to be accurately translated if it's perfect?

In order words, why do you have to rely on outside sources and the opinions or concensus of men to figure out the "perfect" religion? Sounds like pure speculation and interpretation is the way for Islam. That's far from perfect.

If you have no money for food, couldnt pay your rent because you had to renew your drivers license and car insurance, and a friend sent money to your son to pay your rent for you and an extra$100 for food and your son kept the $100 and invited his friends over for dinner and went out and spent it on steaks for his "dinner party"?

Because I am collecting social services he had to send it to my son, and I HATE being dishonest, it goes against the grain, BIG TIME. But I have gone from about 130 lbs down to about 105 lbs in the last month and a half.

I receive $600 a month and my rent is $500, then there is the cell phone bill, overdue now, the cost of the storage locker $112 a month, and various prescriptions, vitamins etc that I have to pay for, gas for the car, water .. well y'all know how it is --

I am so angry at my son right now. If my friend knew he would have some kind of fit he would be so enraged. I cant even talk to my son right now.

Once upon a time, when I was teaching in Africa, there was a little crippled demi-orphaned beggar girl who used to come around my house and pester me for handouts. One day she asked me if I believed in God. When I said No, she got very agitated. I said, "Look -- you've met one person in your life who doesn't believe in God, and he's paying for your education. There are twenty million people in this country who do believe in God, and not one of them will pay for your education. Why do you think that is?"

She replied, "You let God worry about dem."

In recent news, a young mom died through blood loss adter giving birth to twins.
If you are a Jehovahs Witness, imagine you have just given birth, and need a blood transfusion, would you die, or accept the blood, and see your children grow up?
Another thing, would you allow YOUR child to receive a blood transfusion that would save their life, or let them die in the name of Jehovah?
