Last Daze Lyrics by Petra

Words and music by Bob Hartman
Based on 1 Timothy 4:1, 2 Thessalonians 2:11, 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Somewhere in the darkest night a stranger has lost the way
Cold wind and a distant light has carried his heart away
Some say he was one of us, a prodigal gone astray
But inside he's as cold as ice to the truth that he won't obey
He won't discern - the point of no return

(Chorus)
In the last daze - the final haze
There was strong delusion to believe a lie
In the last daze before the blaze
They couldn't see beyond their misty trance
To grab the truth and have a fighting chance
In the last daze

Cold chills when the Spirit speaks that some shall depart from the faith
All ends in calamity just when they thought it was safe
They followed the lies - the fables men devised

Some say it's a certainty, a sign of the times I am told
But I weep for the souls of those who will never return to the fold

Why? It provokes people to seek God before it's too late.

Beauty From Pain by Superchic(k) is a great song. It's about holding on during tough times and trusting that he knows what he's doing, because he never wastes a pain we go through.
Fire by Krystal Meyer is awesome because it's about sharing the word of God with everyone, instead of keeping it to yourself.
Never Alone by Barlowgirl is amazing, it's about how even when everything's falling apart and we feel overwhelmed by the problems we have, we aren't alone-God is always there to pick up the pieces.
I know, that was three, but I love all of those songs so much.

My favorite Christian songs are the ones that speak of Hope, of the power of the shed blood of Jesus, the HOly Spirit power to overcome. Songs that sing of who God really is and who we really are in Christ.
I dont enjoy the songs of hearing what a helpless whinney little old sinner we are now and how we just cant seem to be good enough for GOD. None are good enough for GOd, but He lvoes us anyhow, and once we are truly born again have the nature of Christ, not that old fallen sin nature. We have the nature of Christ once born again and we are called to be overcomers, it is a requirement, and we can do it by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Sprit.
Gods knowledge and grace are for empowering us to be like Jesus, not to walk in continued sin and count on grace to cover it up. God doesnt want anything covered up. IT is to be brought up and revealed, so we may be healed of it and gone no more.
I still love that song POWER IN THE BLOOD, cuz thats where it is at. God bless you for the great question.

I'm satisfied with just a cottage below. A little silver and a little gold. But in this city where the ransom does shine I have a gold one that's silver lined.

Another words be happy with what you have because you can make it . Believe it is the best and it is the best. Appreciate what you have. many people have less.

good day

My favorite Christian songs are "Our God is an Awesome God" by Rich Mulling and "O Virga, ac Diadema" by Hildegard of Bingen.

The chorus of the Mullins song is amazingly powerful and affirmative.

The Hildegard song is just sheerly beautiful. Really, I like all of her music, but "O Virga..." is her one song whose melody I have been able to memorize.

"Ivory Palaces" because I like all the words in this song.
Actually, I like most of the old hymns in the songbook but
I also like the praise hymns ( which incidentally
usually include scripture verses).

East to West...by Casting Crowns

I makes me really examine myself and who I was BEFORE CHRIST came into my life, and what he continues to do in my life now. I usually cry when I hear this song.

There are many more. I tend to not be one to remember either names of songs or those who sing them.

Someone just forwarded this to me: Baby Got Book http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTYr3JuueF4

Apparently it is really popular with revival Christians right now.

"Beulah Land". Five years ago when my mother went to be with the Lord, this was sung at her funeral. It has brought me peace knowing that she is in Beulah Land where she so longed to be. God bless you!!!
