Do you remember the snake in the Garden of Eden? God cursed him, and told him that he would crawl on his belly for the rest of his days and eat the dust of the earth; the implication is that he already had legs. Thus evolution of a lizard into a snake is demonstrated. Pretty neat huh?

Something along the lines of, "Woman, (to Mary), go tend to your son."
It is in the film The Passion of Christ.

This is a serious question. What is it that makes people think that they are ugly. I know that some people are told that they are, and people see figures in the media and compare themselves to them. But what is it that makes people believe that they are really ugly and unattractive. Do you have to believe you are ugly to be ugly...if so then why not think the reverse and think that you are gorgous. Please answer

I understand that God promised Israel a messiah. Jesus was not the promised messiah and that the promised messiah is yet to come. So what's supposed to happen if he does come? end of the world? new world order?

The shop (Currys) talked her into having a top of the range model, which she is having difficulty using basically because she doesn't understand the instructions.
She has asked Currys to change it for a more user friendly model several times, but they have refused, as it isn't faulty.

However, I've checked a few consumer rights websites, and they say goods have to be "fit for purpose".
So would "fit for purpose" mean it should be easy for anyone to use, even a rather easily confused OAP?

Pass The Butter Please.

THIS IS INTERESTING .......

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had funded all the research wanted to be paid back so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back. It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings.

DO YOU KNOW.. The difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end...it gets very interesting!

Both have the same number of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added!

Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

Butter has been around for centuries whereas margarine has been around for less than 100 years.

And now, for Margarine...

Very high in trans fatty acids.

Triple risk of coronary heart disease.

Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold.

Lowers quality of breast milk.

Decreases immune response.

Decreases insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact....

HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine is only ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC..

This fact alone is enough for me to avoid margarine for the rest of my life, and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

You can try this yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or a shaded area. Within a couple of days you will notice a couple of things:

* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something).

* it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weensy microorganisms will not a find a home to grow in. Why? Because it is one molecule away from being plastic, remember? Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends..... (If you want to "butter them up")!

Chinese Proverb:

"When someone shares something of value with you, and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

So be kind and share this with everyone you

I'm supposed to meet with my new rabbi on Thursday regarding converting to Judaism. I've been studying for years and minored in Jewish History. What would be some great things to bring up to him during our meeting?

By the way, the last time we met he said that the goal was that when I felt that when people asked me what relgiion I was/or said something about the Jewish people, that I would feel on a gut level that I am Jewish. Should I say that to him if he asks again, or would that be rude? It would be the truth, but I don't want to cause offense!

It seems that women, especially attractive young women, get away with exponenentially easier sentences than men who do the same thing...why?

And a second part...

Does it seem that there are more women day by day committing these kinds of crimes that are historically dominated by male perpetrators???

Why are more women becoming perverted as their counterparts???

So I just saw some BS commercial that smoking pot supports terrorism... *Blink* .... One second and I will continue...

*scritcha* ... *Scritcha* ..... *gurgle*gurgle*gurgle*gurgle* and *gurgle* *EXHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALE* *cough cough cough*...

now then what we were talking about... Oh yea man! If one looks at the prohibition era for example, one finds almost instantaneous crimminal attempts to fill the alchohol void left by said program. In essence, by simple denial as opposed to regulation moralists and the govt CREATED a HUGE violent crimminal industry. I think this to be true of prostitution and drug laws. The negative impacts on these two cottage industries is HUGE. Prostitution being outlawed has led to female slavery of a sort, disease, etc and so on. When Reagan declared war on HIS OWN COUNTRY he cost us BILLIONS of dollars and ruined the lives of millions of otherwise law abiding americans. Not to mention giving a massine income to drug cartels and terrorists... What say you?

"We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out."
Adolf Hitler, in a speech delivered in Berlin, 24 October 1933

Jesus did not call them Abraham's children, but a "brood of vipers" [Matt. 3:7]. Oh, that was too insulting for the noble blood and race of Israel, and they declared, "He has a demon' [Matt 11:18]. Our Lord also calls them a "brood of vipers"; furthermore in John 8 [:39,44] he states: "If you were Abraham's children ye would do what Abraham did.... You are of your father the devil. It was intolerable to them to hear that they were not Abraham's but the devil's children, nor can they bear to hear this today.------Martin Luther

Hitler stated: "Christ was the greatest early fighter in the battle against the world enemy, the Jews . . . The work that Christ started but could not finish, I--Adolf Hitler--will conclude."

"And the founder of Christianity made no secret indeed of his estimation of the Jewish people. When He found it necessary, He drove those enemies of the human race out of the Temple of God. ---- Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf, pp.174

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."
Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, Ralph Mannheim, ed., p. 65, New York: Mariner Books, 1999

"And the founder of Christianity made no secret indeed of his estimation of the Jewish people. When He found it necessary, He drove those enemies of the human race out of the Temple of God.
---Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf, pp.174

Many times Althaus explained to Christians his preference for the Third Reich over the former Weimar Republic. “We Christians know,” he stated, “that we are bound by God’s will to the promotion of National Socialism, so that all members of the people will be ready for service and sacrifice.” (“Kirche and Staat,” p. 29)

Paul Althaus, a Lutheran theologian of renown in Germany, warmly greeted the rise of Hitler. He wrote that, “The Protestant churches have greeted the political turning point as a gift and miracle of God”.. (“Die deutsche Stunde der Kirche,” p.5)

In a speech to Polish Catholics, Hitler declared: “I as a German Catholic, ask only what is permitted to Polish Catholics. To be antisemitic is not to be un-Catholic. The Church used every weapon against the Jews, even the Inquisition. Christ himself was a pioneer in the fight against Judaism.” (ibid, p. 146)

At a Church conference, Hitler affirmed that the Catholic Church has always regarded Jews as evildoers and had banished them into ghettos. He (Hitler) is only doing what the Church had been doing for fifteen hundred years.. (ibid, p. 79)

“I do insist on the certainty that sooner or later – once we hold power – Christianity will be overcome and the German Church established. Yes, the German church, without a Pope, and Luther, if he could be with us, would give us his blessing.” (Adolf Hitler, Hitler’s speeches, edited by Prof. N.H. Baynes [oxford, 1942], pg. 369.)

“If I find a Jew to baptize, I shall lead him to the Elbe bridge, hang a stone around his neck, and push him into the water, baptizing him with the name of Avraham!.. I cannot convert the Jews. Our lord Christ did not succeed in doing so; but I can close their mouths so that there will be nothing for them to do but to lie upon the ground.” – Martin Luther
