Christmas is Christmas, Halloween is Halloween, Valentines is Valentines...if you do not believe, that is your right, but it is my right to believe, and celebrate if I want to...I do not get unhappy if somneone Jewish celebrates Hannukah, And I do not believe that someone should be unhappy with me because I choose to cebrate my holidays.....if someone chooses not to participate, that is thier right....

It doesn't matter, Christmas to Christians is the birth of Jesus Christ...Christmas to atheists is a time for family and gift giving (not trying to be stereotypical, my fiance is an atheist and he loves decorating for Christmas and getting gifts and spending time with family) and to some people it's just another day....so we should keep Christmas!

As usual I will be a net exporter of presents, the balance of trade doesn't have a look in with this one. I spend hundreds of pounds on presents and get a mouse mat or a pair of socks back. Yes I will go along with you, Get rid of Christmas I could be doing with the money I will save.

Each religion keeps holidays that are peculier to its national or cultural identity. I think that Christmas with its multicultural and multinational oleo presents a blending of ideas and customs from enough countries to uniquely represent the melting pot that is America. But this is America. There is no WE. you can keep it or not.

Politically correct ?
Do me a favour, I don't see any other religions dumping their celebrations to appease people.

No. We should keep it. Why change it just b/c there are others in this country. This is OUR country. Would we expect other countries not to have a certain holiday they have celebrated all these years just because other nationalities have moved in?

You're a little a weird aren't ya! (That's if you're saying what I think you're saying) Why on earth would you want to get rid of Christmas? I do find it a little pointless now 'cause I'm older, but Christmas is for the kids. Why would anyone want to do that to them? (Unless you're Muslim of course)
