I believe that drugs and prostitution should be legalized and regulated and the money used on our schools.
I do neither by the way. I just know prohibition does not work. People will use drugs and visit prostitutes so if we make it all legal and regulate it, we cvan control it. Just my opinion.

I say, after my own coughing fit, that there are some aspects of life that the government needs to keep their mitts out of. I can understand it being illegal to drive while high, or to smoke up with kids around. But what someone does in their own living room, on their own time, shouldn't be the business of Congress. By some estimations, the US spent over 9 Billion dollars taking pot off the streets. That figure does NOT include other drugs. The DEA budget for 2006 was 12.5 Billion. I can think of much better ways to spend MY money.
(Calling to see if I can get another bag this morning ;) j/k

They know that certain drugs enhance or initialize enlightenment. They don't want that. Daddy Bush owns the cartels in central and south America. When Reagan declared war on us, he was just lining the pockets of the Bushes and for the Bushes. The Bush Cartel wins either way. Every law that is passed in this country is to the monetary advantage of the political elite. They should all be brought to trial for causing untold misery and loss. The system generates money for everyone but the taxpayers. It goes to the elite first and to governing bodies second. They are the real terrorists. Here's a real yucker, Glenn Beck called me an anarchist. I said thank you. That means I'm doing right.
Looking myself. Should be on the way soon. What is that stuff in it lately that triggers horrible asthma?

It's stunning to me that the country that introduced Prohibition - and saw all the horrible results of driving any popular activity underground - did it again even worse a few decades later.
And despite all the data generated both then and now, the US continues to wage an unwinnable war all over the world, causing more misery and death than the worst drugs in existence. When official, independent studies point out the folly of this, they're simply ignored.
While all this is going on, the war in Afghanistan has had the net result of quintupling the supply of heroin on the streets of Europe, and reducing the price to peanuts.
Nice work, guys.

well you know what those spoon feed talking heads would say right? "drugs are bad, they decay society" the simple fact is that this is just the government trying to legislate morality. i believe that's just plain wrong it's not the governments place to tell us how to live our private lives. it's no different than when martin luther nailed his protest to the doors of the catholic church, how dare a faceless nameless "moral" majority tell us what we can and can't do in the privacy of our own homes.
and that whole terrorism bit, yeah i saw the same commercial, complete bullshit. i bet more than not if you're smoking weed you're smoking some sort of home grown setup, Americans are growing weed not terrorists, though for some reason the government seems to confuse to two lately.

Pot does not support terrorism, but...
SUVs with i rider lining up at school to pick up 1 kid to go 1 mile does!
Actually, any vehicle that is used in that way does.
Pot and hemp (they are different plants) should be legal for all purposes, the problem is people complain, but do not support the organizations trying to abolish this prohibition.
Yep, it's a waste of money to bother with pot, that I agree with, so DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

how can it be supporting terrorism if the weeds are grown in the users back yard?
there is a certain someone that i know that doesn't live in the same town or state as i, that might grow their own, and trust me, if they seen a terrorist any where near their goods, they'd be the first one to throw down and whoop some bums and defeat them mofo's to death! the only way that certain person i'm talking about could ever support terrorism, is to possibly (and i'm not saying that this person will) but, kill the terrorist, and support the local mortician.

I would not completely legalize it. I think anyone who commits a crime, misbehaves badly, or damages their health significantly, under the influence of drugs, should be sentenced to rehab, in addition, for those who commited a crime, to their sentence. I think these drug should be legal to sell under proper controls for safety. Prostitution could be legal simlar to in parts of Nevada. We need to have a campaign, to get people aware, of the negative side of drug use and prostitution. We don't need more abuse of drugs, alcohol, or of sex in this world. This is a serious moral problem that needs to be addressed. We need a lot better rehabilatation programs. I don't use any drugs legal or illegal, and consider them as a negative, if you are into serious spiritual development.

Legalizing drugs would lessen criminal trafficking, sure, but what about the domestic aspect? I think easy access would lead to even more familial neglect, battery, and dysfunction. Health insurance rates would go through the roof, the medical field which is already lacking in resources would suffer even more, and finding an employer that would trust you would be difficult. Trading one evil for another isn't always such a good thing.

The problem with the Christians is that they don't read the Bible!!!!
Proverbs 31:6-7 (NIV) Give beer to those who are perishing, wine to those who are in anguish; let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more!
There is no doubt in my mind that a lot of guys writing the ible were very high on something strong... judging by the stuff that they wrote... and how they went about prophesying... and so on...
Isaiah 20:2-3 KJV
At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking NAKED and barefoot. And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked NAKED and barefoot THREE YEARS for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;
Micah 1:8 NIV
Because of this I will weep and wail; I will go about barefoot and NAKED. I will howl like a jackal and moan like an owl.
