I think films often miss quote the Bible, as does more or less everyone.
Jesus said to John your mother, which I believed that he meant for John to take care of Mary. (Mother of Jesus).
Another part was that they came up to Him to say that His mother and brothers are out side and want to see Him, but Jesus replied, "who is my mother and who are my brothers."
Then He concluded that they were those who did his Father's will.
God's will for us is that we believe in the one He sent. That is Jesus the Son of God.
There is another part where by a woman gave him a very clever answer.
After she had asked him for help. He had said "it is not right to take away the children's food and throw it to the dogs."
But she replied, "yes Lord, but even the dogs under the table eat its masters left over."
So, Jesus congratulated her on her intelligent answer and granted her request...

A passage like it is in John 19:26-27. It is not an exact quote and Christ is in fact telling Mary that John will take care of her.

You will not find that verse in the Bible, you will only find it in the movie. The closest you will come to it in the Bible is (King James Authorized Version) John 19:26-27.

Just because it is in the film it dosn't mean you will find it in the Bible, read the bible I don't remember Jesus saying any such thing.
When informed that his mother and sisters and brothers were just outside the door of a house that had welcomed Jesus for the purpose of teaching, he replied to his disciple, who is my mother, who is my sister, trying to explain that we are all brothers and sisters, that we must treat everyone with the same love and respect.

The phrase was, "Woman, behold your son." I believe that Jesus was referring to the disciple, John. He also said to John, "...behold your mother." I believe it was Jesus' intention for them to look out for each other as "family".
