Remembrance Sunday is all abotu remembering those who fought and died bravely in combat for your country no matter which war, although it initially started after World War 1.
I believe we should all just get on and enjoy this life.
A British Tommy who fought in world war 1 and is still alive called Harry Patch went to the battlegrounds of world war one for remembrance sunday and met one of the surviving German soliders from this war.
Both these men now around 110 years of age shook hands and enjoyed a drink together, called themselves friends and said that there should never be another war and that war is just a few mens ideals being thrashed out by the many people of a nation...they went on to say all problems should be talked through at a table like civilized people.
How right these wise men who fought in the worst war we have seen are.

At my own church not only were the dead of WW l and WW ll
remembered but also the 16,000 who have been killed after WW ll I was sad a little sad that hose who were injured in body and mind were not interested.
Given that this Sunday is in remembrance of those who have "given" there lives for this Country. I did find it a little irritating that mention was also made of those who had died in "peace" and old age over the last few years and felt that the main thrust of the service had been diluted. It was not that I actually object to that would though another Sunday would have been better.

People can have differences and debate issues and still enjoy life. Thinking about our troops on any day is a good thing. Remember them when you vote for your next president too.
