It seems that women, especially attractive young women, get away with exponenentially easier sentences than men who do the same thing...why?

And a second part...

Does it seem that there are more women day by day committing these kinds of crimes that are historically dominated by male perpetrators???

Why are more women becoming perverted as their counterparts???

So for the moron who says that it's more difficult for a woman to molest a boy...

It would be totally kool with you if your 10 year old son was molested by a female teacher... who became pregnant and decided to carry the baby...

You don't think that wouldn't bother your 10 year old son to know from such an early age that he had a child of his own???

You're crazy and evil...

I wasn't going to answer this, as I'm a bit too close to the subject for comfort (I was sexually abused by a female family member when I was 7). However, after seeing some of the inane responses by the men here, I feel I need to.

The answer to your first question is because boys and men are taught that they are to be in charge, and if they report a case of sexual abuse, they will be ridiculed (just as I'm being ridiculed right now as other guys read this). And that they should "enjoy" the experience, QED. Therefore, female on male abuse rarely gets reported.

To answer your second question, there are more than likely NOT more people committing sexual abuses today than in the past, be it by male or female abusers. It's more probable that more cases are being reported. Should they be treated equally? Of course. Will they? Of course not! Things are changing, but not quickly enough.

These (abusers) are people who desperately need treatment. They need to be in cognitive therapy to change their behaviors, regardless of their gender. The best way to protect the children is to change the way people view sex and define "consensual."

Ok, you can all start giving me the thumbs downs now.

Because it's a double standard.

I know it's not PC to say, but seriously - most 13 year old boys are dreaming of being hit on by their attractive 30 year old female teachers...lol. It's true that the adult in the situation is still exploiting the child, and it's not a healthy situation, but because of the difference in psychology and physiology between the sexes, it probably isn't as traumatic for a boy, as a rule. Not to excuse it!

Plus, yeah, it's a negligibly small minority percentage of pedophiles that are female. I doubt it's happening more nowadays; it's probably just that we're aware of more cases.

P.S. - I said I doubt it's AS traumatic. I mean, looking back as adults, we're all like "Yeah, I only WISH I'd been molested by Ms. Whatever," but if it had really happened, do you honestly think it wouldn't have affected the way you view sexual relationships?

This is a very deep question. Look at the statistics for crime. Men commit 90% of all crime. Men are geared up for danger, for battle, for crazy, stupid things. Women are designed as the nurturers, the lovers and producers of children. If there is some kind of molestation, society sees the intent of this from two different perspectives. Men do it out of some kind of degraded, twisted sense of carnal pleasure. Women do it out of a sense of loving, caring gone wrong. Seems not so bad.
I think you are right in that women are committing more and more crimes of all sorts. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg where our society is getting further and further from God. We, as a society, are become more promiscuous, pernicious and just down right evil. I read through the bible at all the old societies that God just "did away with" and I see America moving towards this. We need to find a way to get back to the foundation that this country was based on - and that was Christian belief and faith in God. What part do you want in it?

no, women are just getting caught now because society is finally beginning to realize, despite sexist notions to the contrary, that women are just as capable of sexual violence as men.

They continue to get lesser sentences becayuse it still is not completely believed that a woman is capabale of such things. However, in some states, its just a light sentence for sexual predators all around.

For example: Idaho, the maximum sentence one can be hit with for one charge of rape is ten years. There is at least one case that I know of where there was a male rapist and a female rapist, they both sexually assaulted the womans 16 year old sister, and they both got ten years in prison for it. the only reason that the man did not get out is because he killed someone in prison and has been convicted of murder.

ditto to what jonjon said

my husband and I had this discussion just last week

we were talking about some case where a young 13 year old boy was molested by a baby sitter ... and my husband was like well if it was me I would have loved it
eek men
but it doesnt excuse the baby sitter or anyone who is left in charge of minors

they should all be treated equally

edit
King darling ... I dont think anyone is being in any way unkind or making light of this type of thing
but expressing that for the majority of males ... it is something that they would fantasise about
I think most of us have agreed that as for the abuser ... it is wrong wrong wrong no matter the gender
thumbs up from me xx

Females are just as perverted as males to start with. Would it stand better if the male was 13 and the female 19, the male at 13 is not yet a civil being and will be attracted to almost any female that is willing. Female all way choose the male and males of young age that are sex driven will engage with out ridicule with an older female, where as a female will most likely be ridiculed and labeled.
The day will come. that we will understand we are not domesticated but wild and that abuse is from abuse. Not that I think any of this is good or I agree, but it is very common, but not as accepted for young males to engage with older females.

It isn't less of a problem, it is just more accepted. My sister in law is guilty of such. And, she's a fundie school teacher. She molested a friend of her sons for 3 years. Disgusting. She ruined that boys life for her sexual appetites. Still kind of shocked over it. But, for the life of me, all I can think of is where's that holier than thou attitude now?

nicely, it could no longer replace the situation. maximum pedophiles are right this moment adult men, lots of them married. It does tend to be a kin member virtually consistently. yet i detect enforce celibacy merely a administration mechanism, notably in the previous (however that truly did no longer supply up any monks or popes from slumbering around). there is rather no rationalization for it. What i detect heartbreaking is while the Vatican is approached approximately it. at the instant they mentioned "those monks are not workers of the Vatican" (there went Catholic team spirit, ideal out the window). yet i detect this demanding to have self assurance while the Vatican can defrock any priest below it is rule. So right here, they fantastically a lot merely indifferent themselves from the criminals, as though they have no duty in it in any respect. yet, you start up a church and declare it is Catholic and watch the Vatican come out and say "you're no longer one human beings on the grounds which you probably did no longer bypass via the Vatican to style this church". As I mentioned, they simply threw their team spirit out the window.

Double standards my friend...woman can do it, but get away with it (or get easier sentences, as you say) but if a man does it then by the Christian God it's a sin against said deity...

I don't like it...it should be even across the board...but alas! I doubt that'll ever happen.

Double standards are a good thing for women (as you pointed out, lesser sentences) but not really fair, especially for the equal rights feminists, eh? But I doubt that they will fret too much, after all, they get off easier than men, and they only want the "good" equal rights, not the "bad ones as well.

Hope this helps somehow...^_^

It does seem that way, doesn't it? However, it is so equally wrong. Putting your hands on a child in any sexually way is a crime, by child I mean under 18 years old- if you are over 18.
