Well, that depends on how often your parents want to see you and also depends on how tight your family unit is. I wouldn't call it bad but it's a good idea to visit them once in a while if you can. If you're very busy and can't make the time, let them know what's going on. You don't want to hurt their feelings.

Yes. if your parents have been good parents. Is there nothing that you are thankful for? Don't you see a need to show them how much you appreciate them and love them? Where is the relationship? These are the people that raised you and saw that you had everything you needed - why would you not want to spend time with them? You should put them first in your life. Family is important!!!

"In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate".
It is extremely bad, since they did not leave you for a year when u was a kid, toddler, teenage boy/girl. Now it is your duty to serve your parents, they served you when you needed him but now it is upto you to perform your duty.
( DEALINGS )
… Excel in your dealings with parents, the near relatives, the orphans, the needy … (Al-Baqarah 2:83 and An-Nisaa 4:36)
(NOT EVEN UFF, TO PARENTS)
And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," (Interjection of anger, dislike, frustration) and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. – Holy Quran 17:23
A man once consulted the Prophet Muhammad about taking part in a military campaign. The Prophet asked the man if his mother was still living. When told that she was alive, the Prophet said: "(Then) stay with her, for Paradise is at her feet." (Al-Tirmidhi)
(PARENTS RIGHTS)
Once Abu Umamah asked the Prophet about the rights of parents over their children. The Prophet replied, "They are your Paradise and they are your Hell."
-Reported by Abu Umamah
[Sahih Muslim : Book 37 Kitab Al-Tauba, Number 6634]
Salman (Radi Allah Anhu) reported that Allah's Messenger (sal-allahu- alleihi-wasallam ) said:
"Verily, Allah created, on the same very day when He created the heavens and the earth, one hundred parts of mercy. Every part of mercy is coextensive with the space between the heavens. and the earth and He out of this mercy endowed one part to the earth and it is because of this that the mother shows affection to her child and even the beasts and birds show kindness to one another and when there would be the Day of Resurrection, Allah would make full (use of Mercy)."

Every family dynamics is different. It depends on how busy you are, how far you are from them, how is your financial status and how close you are to them. What's the point of visiting them every year if you can't afford it, or if you get into fights with them when you do get together.

It's only 'bad' if you are promising to see them all the time and then don't follow through.
If you live a long way away, or have other committments, and your parents are not high on your list of priorities, then you needn't see them unless you wish to make the effort.

It depends how far away they live if they live like a couple of hours away you should see them a lot more but if they like live in a different state or country it wouldn't be bad not to see them every year.
