Old Testament = Really Mean Guy
New Testament = Really Nice Guy

He's got some kind of personality disorder, but I don't think MPD quite fits the description.

God is the universal spirit who is good, and very moral, and hold the universe together as one. The world is not perfect, and was not meant to be perfect. It was meant to be challenging, and to present problems, that will bring out the most in human beings, if they work hard and get strong enough spiritually, to face and conquer these problems. God is there to guide and inspire us. Satan does not exist. There are negative consequence to bad behavior, and positive consequences to good behavior, that affect the strength of us spiritually.
