Who is in danger ?

If the believers were right you will go to hell ( the unbelievers)

but

if the believers were wrong, nothing will happen to them, Both the believer and the unbelievers.

If someone will argue with me that " You can't have fun because your religion doesn't allow you to drink or smoke..... and so on. then I'll say they are stupid because you are doing which you know that it will damage your health according to the doctors ( if you believe in them)

So who should be more afraid ?

I had a 'friend' of MANY yrs.but got sick and tired of being her sounding board so to speak / plus everytime we ever did anything like go to NYC or a movie,it was always her way or the highway
She also let it be known to me about her jealousies of me, abt the fact I have a good husband complaining she has no one. and that she has bills piled up to her head and I don't have to worry abt that. That she's a caregiver to her Mother and mine is independent plus married. All she ever did was act either angry at me for successes in my life as well as other things I've achieved/I guess I just got sick of feeling like her therapist when she wasn;'t really there for me.
I don't know anyone else around here.
All my relatives live out of state/yes I have a good husband but one must have friends too, right?
I feel like I'm starting at square one w/my social life, help!
p.s. tried to be as supportive as I could w/that 'friend' but always felt like the perpetual giver and ended up feeling very use

What do you think about praising a dead one at his funeral??? Is there a need for a tribute still for his sake?

I know there are other questions similar to this one, but I just want to know if the majority of people consider "ladies first" sexist or not (not chivalry in general).

I was talking to my friend about a videogame (of all things) and I told her I was waiting for my girlfriend to beat the game before I beat it (which I am). She responded with "why," I said "ladies first," and she said "that's sexist." She later added that it was stupid. She doesn't really ever seem a feminist, though she's bi/lesbian undecided.

I know my girlfriend enjoys my romanticism and gentlemanesque ways, but would all women?

Please be honest.
Some people think they are stupid for having no God.
But others think its great and liberating.
What do you think?

I'm writing a paper for Sociology about religion and war. I can't seem to find any verses from the Bible on the subject (except really violent ones). I'm specifically looking for any that are along the lines of... though war is sometimes necessary, there are certain guidelines that must be maintained as well (i.e. no killing women, children, the elderly, civilians, etc.) Or that peace is encouraged. Something of that sort. Thanks.

As a non-native speaker, I often come across the word "den" in books and articles from the US, but I am in doubt about what it is. Is it an extra living room that is made to be cozy; for play and watching tv for instance, or...? Or can it have other functions, for instance as an office/library or something..?
Grateful for any helpful answers !

If the Bible says it, it’s true. Just like if my Harry Potter book says that Hogwarts exists, then that must mean Hogwarts is real?

Or only when pertains to your own? We all have a tendency to look down on those who do not share our same beliefs. Is that wrong or is that just being human? It may sound like a no-brainer but you'd be surprised on the answers I would get when I ask my friends or family member.

Why were there four thousand years of wrath, miracles, prophets, and verifiable evidence of YHWH, then suddenly....nothing. For nearly two thousand years.

No, personal miracles don't count. None of the miracles described in the Bible were on the level of 'my children are a miracle; I prayed for an A on a test - and I got an A!'

They were more along the lines of men rising from the dead, feeding the masses with one meal, walking on water, rivers turning to blood, etc, etc.

Why was YHWH so active for that four thousand years, and now nothing?

I am an atheist and I have won well over one hundred debates (actual scored debates with three judges) on this issue. I have proven at every debate that there is absolutely no proof for the existence of god and that science will someday erase god altogether. Keep in mind that I don’t want to turn this into a debate. I just want to know if anyone out there has any actual proof of god.

Despite all the overwhelming impossibilities (placement of animals on all continents, thousands of different beetle species, all types of plants staying alive through the flood, etc), some people claim there really was a fellow named Noah who really did build a giant boat.

Furthermore, some (no, not all), claim that there is proof. That the ark exists in the mountains of Turkey. My question is in regards to this claim:

Can you name one single other structure made of wood that is five thousand years old? Four thousand? Two thousand? Five hundred? Why would Noah's Ark survive at least ten times longer than virtually all other wooden structures?
