I've spent the last few years denying my homosexuality and trying to find out why I am the way I am. I don't think I was born gay, but rather a combination of being raised primarily by females, of having no father or father figure, of being teased and called a f**got in middle school for four years, and of admiring other males to learn how to act like a "man, all helped make me a homosexual. Most of these circumstances were well beyond my control and have shaped who I am in so many other aspects of my life as well.

But in the end, does it really matter how I became gay, now that I am willing to accept that I am exclusively attracted to men and therefore a homosexual?

Matthew 7:7-8
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

i hate to say it but it seems that schools throughout my country somehow insist to push a child to choose religion at such an early age... i'd personally choose god alone over religion...

any helping comments?

Keep in mind that Jesus pled the 5th Amendment when he had to go to court. Then he voluntarily laid down his life so that others could end his life for him. Does that make him the role model for assisted suicide?

Mine forced me to play the accordian. I hated it. Now that I'm much older, I wish that I had learned to play and read music. At least I could have used that knowledge to play the piano.

Now... first off. A lot of people say homosexuality is not a choice but incest is? WHAT??? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Since when is physical attraction or falling in love a CHOICE? If a brother and sister fall for each other, you're saying they just chose to do it. And just because someone is born gay doesn't mean they have to act on it. So that excuse is WEAK!!!

Two, everyone is saying that incest causes birth defects. Fine. Well, we'll just ignore the fact that the number one purpose for sex is procreation (which would make gay sense COUNTERPRODUCTIVE to the human race). But what if the two incestuous partners use birth control? Or what if they are gay (as stated before). Then the birth defect argument is out.

Maybe everyone should take a second and realize that they're making the same arguments people make in defense of gays. THINK!

Every negative experience I have heard from people are either not fully explained or just sound coincidental. Like I get "I heard some strange noise and felt a weird creepy vibe after using it". Or "I have had negative experiences with it" not going into detail. That doesn't prove to me that they are dangerous.

Why be afraid? I have used an oujia board years ago and never had bad or paranormal experiences with it. It got thrown away. I want to maybe buy another one. Even more so to prove that they are safe.

And how do we know they are even legit? The only way that would convince me is if the planchette was moving on its own or it answered multiple arithmetic questions correctly before I knew the answer.

Even if they are not "Spirits" moving the planchette its still interesting how you get answers without having to think .

Now I'm not very religious, but I know that in (Catholicism?) it's against that religion to have premarital sex. Well, what if you have sex for the first time with the person you end up marrying? They were the only person you ever had sex with and you stayed married to them. Would you still be harshly judged?

I know that the mahram men are listed in surah al nur, but mahram is also defined as someone whom u cannot marry, like a blood relation. In surah al nur, grandfathers aren't mentioned....that's my main concern. I'm pretty sure I'm going to begin wearing hijab tomorrow, but i really need to know if my grandpa and my male cousin can see me without the scarf....they don't know yet that i have converted, and i dont want to scare them.
Are the people listed in surah al nur the only people allowed to see a woman without her scarf??? Please help!!! Thank you very much, and please try to provde as much evidence as possible....I've been researching all night but cant find an answer =(

I was just browsing through this little panflet my mom got from a church group thing the other day. One sentance says "neither fornicators, idolators, adulterers, homosexuals, sodomites, theives, covetous, drunkards, revilers, nor extortioners will inheret the kingdom of God." So, if you have premarital sex, want something someone else has, drink frequently or talk smack, you're going to hell? Other things mentioned in that sentance like "thieves" and "adulterers" are things I'm not 'cause I know those are very wrong things, but almost EVERYONE has premarital sex and drinks and talks smack. If you do none of those things, you're pretty much a nun. I'm not extremely religious, but when I read that, I thought "wait a minute". If the "rules" are like that, how can anyone get into Heaven?

hi everyone .
my problem is my boyfriend and i are having some money issue. we are moving on the 1st of nov. plus have a toddler .
for christmas we both have alot of familey but not enough money to spend on everyone.
so i was thinking of having picture done of our son and putting them into nice but low price frames and giving them to our family.
bigger pictures to the grandparents then a smaller size to our siblings then like our aunts uncles and/ or cousins wallet sizes.
then for nices and nephew giving like 5 in a card.
but in return asking our famileys not to give us anything and to focus instead on our son. is it rude to do this
i just feel bad reciving a gift when we can't aford to give alot ths year.
so i was wonder if anyone has any good ideas that might go nice with the picture or any other present ideas.
thanks

8 Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were greatly afraid. 9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, What has thou done to us? and in what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds to me that ought not to be done. 10 And Abimelech said to Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing? 11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, surely the fear of God [is] not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake. 12 And yet indeed [she is] my sister: she [is] the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife. 13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said to her, This [is] thy kindness which thou shalt show to me; At every place whither we shall come, say of me, He [is] my brother.

Just wondering how many people out there get upset when they hear a racist comment or question. I get mad when I hear a negative comment about anyone that is made off of sterotypes and made out of ignorance. So how many other people get upset about racist comments? Also do you only get upset when the comments about your own race or do you get upset if it has to do with another race.
