I was just browsing through this little panflet my mom got from a church group thing the other day. One sentance says "neither fornicators, idolators, adulterers, homosexuals, sodomites, theives, covetous, drunkards, revilers, nor extortioners will inheret the kingdom of God." So, if you have premarital sex, want something someone else has, drink frequently or talk smack, you're going to hell? Other things mentioned in that sentance like "thieves" and "adulterers" are things I'm not 'cause I know those are very wrong things, but almost EVERYONE has premarital sex and drinks and talks smack. If you do none of those things, you're pretty much a nun. I'm not extremely religious, but when I read that, I thought "wait a minute". If the "rules" are like that, how can anyone get into Heaven?

You've got it!! No one is eligible for Heaven. None of us are perfect. Therefore we all deserve to go to Hell (myself included).

That is why God came to earth (as Jesus)... to pay for your sins so you can get into Heaven. You see, you can't earn your way to Heaven. But God loves you so much that He came to earth and lived a perfect life -- therefore He is eligible for Heaven (get it?) -- and He can pay for your sins by His shed blood.

As Jesus (who was God in human flesh) said, you need to be "born again" (John 3:3) and you need to believe in Him for the forgiveness of your sins to see Heaven (John 3:16, John 5:24 and dozens of other places).

Hope that makes sense. You and your mom are on the right track!! Keep investigating. I'm sure someone at that church will be happy to explain it all. Or email me.

We are under the grace of God, not strict law.
With the influence of Christ in your life, you wouldn't really do those things.

And I find nothing wrong with drinking alcohol, its only when it clouds your mind that its wrong.

I think sex should be with love. I never studied enough to really get what the Bible means by "marriage". Marriage by law, or marriage as love in God's eye?

And homosexuality is a whole other debate for a whole other question. I'd rather not get a headache now.

And stealing, commiting adultry, ect. Well i'll let you figure those out.

You are right. It will be extremely difficult for those who are raised in west and have to complete high school with boys. We know how bad it is out there and it is extremely difficult for girls to protect themsleves not doing something that every girl does.

Believe me in Muslim world all these practices that are wrong according to that pamphelet, are easily avoided because the entire society is set up based on the teachings of Islam. For example there are separate schools for boys and girls upto high schools and even colleges are separate except universities. A man and a woman can not get a room in a hotel to sleep in the same room even if room has two separate bed rooms. unless they carry marriage certificate or some other document to prove that they are husband and wife. There are always separate compartments in trains, separate seats in buses for male and females etc. etc. Parents and the society is geard to protect females and laws are made to make it difficult to commit sins of this sort.

It is the rightiousness of Christ that gets us into heaven. Nobody is good enough. We turn to Jesus and what He did on the cross to save us. But after you really and I mean really turn your life over to Christ, you dont want to do all those things. Thats why they call it being born again. You trust in Jesus and turn from your old life. Thats where the real miracle that nobody seems to talk about is. You really are born again and your life really does change. Its something that none of us can do on our own. Thats where the proof of there being a God is. He actually changes your life around. And you dont want to do those things anymore.

If you still want to live an imoral life, then you are not born again. Stop puting us down and take a walk in our mocasins. Thats the only way that you can see what we are talking about and living for. When ever people put us down, all they are doing is showing us that they haven't a clue about what being a real Christian is. Because you have to be born again to become one. And when you truly become one, you never want to go back to the old life. Sure we get tempted but we turn to God for strength to help us. We aren't perfect but we are saved.

Proverbs 24:16

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

We have an advocate with the Father who is Jesus Christ to help us. We turn to Him for strength and get it. What you need to do is see for yourself.

Psalms 34:8

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Jesus loves you very much, In the book of the Gospel of John it says in chapter 3: verse 3, Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of Heaven. We are all sinners, all those sins you just posted have been commited by everyone on planet earth except Jesus, he was Perfect. Remember John 3:16, Jesus will wash all your sins away if you will believe in him, thats what I did and a million more before me, I ask Jesus to forgive me and he did. What a feeling it is, A great burden is gone from me. The world is not the same anymore. Jesus will forgive you of everything you have ever done and every sin you will commit in the future. When he died on the cross He forever washed away the penalty of sin for all those who believe. Ephesians 2:8-9 says it is a gift from God. Here is a sinners prayer, if you truly believe in Jesus pray this, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

That's what the Good Book says. There are dozens of groups of verses in the NT listing off all these imperfections which will lose us the kingdom. The bible is clear, if you want to get to heaven you have to be as holy as God. Most people will realize that this is impossible for us to do.

How, then, can we get to heaven? There is another way to heaven (the only way we could ever hope to achieve), and that is to place our faith in Jesus Christ and accept Him for who He said He was.

Hopefully, someday all of us sinners decide to turn from these ways and do our best to live a life that brings honor to God. That's how.

Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone doesn't live and dwell in bad behavior. There lay the difference. King David was an adulteress murder, yet considered favored by God. Why? He earnestly begged for forgiveness, and went to sin (in this fashion) no more.

You have to read the rest of the Bible to see how one is forgiven of these sins and they are no longer held against them. Here is a clue, the only way is through Jesus. Read the 4 Gospels - Matthew Mark Luke and John. The read the rest of the New Testament, then the old.

It's a GREAT deal simpler than all of that.

The covenant of the New Testament provides for the salvation of the eternal soul thru Jesus, Son of the one true God.

Accept (enter into) and be assured the kingdom of heaven.

See how easy?

We are saved by grace nothing we can do will make us good enough to get into Heaven. When we ask God into our heart he comes into our heart and put our feet on solid ground and will lead us in the path of righteousness if we will only follow. Abraham had faith and it counted unto him for righteousness. Hope this helps God bless
