I've heard that definition of faith many times. But how is this kind of faith different from simply assuming?

Assume--to take for granted without proof; suppose; postulate; posit

The good folks in the Christian community who live by their beliefs, and allow others to do the same are far outweighed by those who continually insult and condemn everyone else to "hell". Makes me feel sorry for the nice folks who are associated with those others. Opinions from the real Christians out there would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Using the KJV or the like, what does the bible say about what happens to us when we die.

I can't find anything that says we go to heaven as soon as we die.

Luke 23:43 does not explain going to heaven. It seems to say that they will be in heaven.

When I talk to people in informal conversation, I'll ALWAYS refer back to what someone says about a topic or a previous conversation...

"So-in-so said that...."
"When I talked to so-in-so they said that..."
"You'll never believe what so-in-so said about..."

I wonder if people believe I can't keep a secret. Or, I can't think of something intelligent on my own and have to quote what someone else says. My intent isn't to gossip, but just to attribute someone's words or actions.

Is this bad? Should I stop doing this to ensure that I can keep information inside of me?

Thanks for your advice. :-)

Since we are nearing Halloween, I saw in the T V listing, The Fog, Creepshow 2, Exorcist, Halloween, and other low budget movies. For some reason I like to look at The Fog everytime it is shown. Also, I hear they are putting on the Donald Sutherland/Brooke Adams version of that pea pod movie that originally starred Kevin McCarthy and Dana Winters. Unfortunately the name escapes me.

A.) What do you think it would take to unite all the banners on earth to one cause?

I think of the nations of earth being united as a great and wounderful thing.. but my christian friend pointed out, if all the nations were united than that would be for only moments before the antichrist imposed restrictions and the mark of the beast on all who wanted to live in some comfort. I have a muslim friend who agrees with this as well, inorder for all the nations to be united, it would take the return of 'iman mahdi'.

B.) My second question is what religion would welcome a meshing of all nations?

Fear is the predominant emotion for animals. It is an essential teaching aid for them. But humans have progressed beyond requiring fear to instill essential knowledge within our minds. We still need it to an extent but the majority of the knowledge within our minds comes not through fear but through rational thought, except religion. Religion needs fear to survive like organic life forms need oxygen to breath. Religion denies links to our animalistic heritage but at the same time treats us like animals.
