A.) What do you think it would take to unite all the banners on earth to one cause?

I think of the nations of earth being united as a great and wounderful thing.. but my christian friend pointed out, if all the nations were united than that would be for only moments before the antichrist imposed restrictions and the mark of the beast on all who wanted to live in some comfort. I have a muslim friend who agrees with this as well, inorder for all the nations to be united, it would take the return of 'iman mahdi'.

B.) My second question is what religion would welcome a meshing of all nations?

B) Well I am Jewish and I would welcome such a thing, and I dont know any other Jews that would theologicly dissagree with it (we dont have an "anti-christ" thing)

A) Since I am agnostic, I can not answer from the point of view of the antichrist. I think that the concept of a one-nation world is quite unrealistic, not simply because of religious intolerance and conflicting beliefs, but also for political and nationalistic reasons. Human beings tend to be tribal even in the twenty-first century, excluding, abhorring, and distrusting those who are different ethnically, theistically, and philosophically. The schisms dividing nations and nationalities are not likely to be resolved in our lifetimes. In fact, the probability of nuclear war producing the extinction of the human race is far more likely to transpire.
B) None of the major three religions would welcome such a state. Some of the Eastern religions (Buddhism, for example) are more tolerant and less antagonistic. Humanity would also never accept the idea of any theological premise as being the sole "truth".
The idea of "Peace on Earth" is lovely but, unfortunately, an objective which is unattainable in the foreseeable future.

A. A globally preceived immediate serious threat to the existance of the whole of humanity that requires unified action.

B. Religion would have to be kept out of it completely or everyone has to agree on the same principles. This is very unlikely as our two largest religions are completely intolerant of any other belief systems and for some strange reason each other. I think Christianity and Islam can be compared to two magnets. Both religions are so similiar and share the same root, the same beliefs but when put into the wrong position they repel each other. Flip the magnets over and you have a strong bond. However that would spell doom on those of us who follow neither religion.

it'll take the knowledge of immediate destruction of earth to unite ppl around the world... i.e. apocalypse or qiamat... so yea, ur frens are correct... anticrist or dajjal would show up and the end of the world would commence...

other than to save earth, i dont see ppl around the world uniting... as for other religions, i'm not sure... probably buddhism, if u consider it a religion in the first place...
