other people here who report, or is it because of the people who work for Yahoo? And how bad does it have to be in order for you to report someone? The only time I ever report is when someone is rudely attacking another with really foul language.

I'm like you...I only report if someone is making racial or sexual comments...or if it's a rude slam. Also, I've reported avatars on the same idea. One was so obscene...couldn't believe it wasn't caught immediately by Yahoo. Also made the stupid mistake of replying to the member, saying she had no class. Naturally it went on my profile page, with all the other questions I had answered.....so the very thing I had reported was staring me in the face until Yahoo removed it!

Those were valid reports. The bad thing is that a troll can have two or more accounts and then report someone they've targeted for simple things like chatting, not wording a question the exact way, ect. I think it only takes a couple reports on one question, and then Yahoo will send out a violation notice. Happens all over, but we see it going on here for a lot. Certain people are constant targets.

I think they do have monitors, but many of the violations come from people reporting others. You can also get a violation from the wording of a question sometimes, it can be deleted before posted then.

I don't report people myself, if I don't like a question/answer, I move on. If I were going to report it would only be when someone is abusive to another or using foul/inappropriate language. Many folks report others that don't follow the guidelines to the letter. Reporting is very serious and can cause people to lose not only their Y/A privileges, but all their Yahoo accts. It's not something that people should be doing just for the fun of it or to upset others, but many do.

I have had a few violations ,one question removed before it was posted and it left me wondering why.
to fembot 13 I think seniors are interested in all topics, not just about being seniors. That was a good link, thanks. I have reported a few but am determined to just let things go by now as it isn't worth getting in a flap about .

Just go to cultures and groups and see what is on there, and YH lets them get away with it. As with the answer from the red skull below, and she/it has 22% best answers. Can you fathom? Because I sure can't.? Apparently there is a good site on MSN and I am going to check it out. And there is the new Seniors site, but it won't be long before the trolls and the YH Police are there. There are some questions that I just don't care to answer, so i move on. What the gaps(pronounced in the gutteral way you would say G) ? As they say in SA? TheSouth African site is very friendly, but then you have to know what is going on in SA.

I think people get violation notices for being reported, (it takes two) as well as Yahoo monitors. I'm amazed when certain Q's & A's are not deleted, but other people have their questions deleted & it leaves us scratching our heads, as to why, including the questioner.

Well, I got a notice this morning because
I put a question on the Answers UK,
which said. I'm here, where are you?
I thence proceeded to plead with Izzy
to answer (thinking that she might be
staying on the UK side of the ocean.)
It stayed on long enough for me to give
up and close it out...but they just found
it I guess yesterday and deleted it.
I did get some strange answers about
the whereabouts of Izzy, altho it was
always a HE in their reasonings.
