Why do some people believe that a god thing exists.This is really strange I did not know that throu my childhood people were thinklg so weirdly.Please let me be atheist.

Have you ever noticed those big objects in the sky that are often above you? Is it really so strange to think someone put them up there to brighten your day?
What is really weird is that you didn't give any thought as to where you came from before your childhood days, or even wonder about who made the earth?
There is a promise of life to those faithfully believing in God, but for the unbelievers the eternal pit is not far away.
If you love life, gamble on God. If you prefer death go with the Atheist.
It's your choice,... choose life.

All through civalization, people have believed in a god, the Native Americans had several for each part of nature, the Greeks did, the Romans did, well now modern civalization believes in a god.
if you don't now, i bet you will as you get closer to your deathbed!
like my Mom is 80 and she is so religous now, i am 45 and am not, but that is because i am not nearing the end of my life, but i still believe in god.

well i was taught this my whole life and i still don't know i believe it was ideas passed down by people at a time when we as people were not as evolved scientifically and since we had less understanding of how this planet works let alone humans we created these ideas in search of answers like people who worshiped the sun,moon,rocks ,statues and people were looking for explanations for this because that how humans are we can't except things we can't explain and understand so in search of answers we create answers like religion, math ,science and other info was all created by people. EVERYTHING WE KNOW was told by man. and we except these answers because we cant prove different just like GOD.

You don't have to ask people to "let" you be atheist...
I don't necessarily think its an ist or an ism...
Its a hard subject because so many believe in a god or in organized religion.
I don't think you're being ahteist, I simply think you're excercising common sense..
People are scared about death being the end of things so they create a "heaven" where they magically go when they die to prevent them from the fear of death. They live their lives to celebrate in the afterlife instead of truly living here on earth.
In my opinion, religion is a sham and a crutch for weak minded people, but sometimes I myself find it hard to live without faith and without god... Because then and only then I have to rely on myself.
I am my only god, we are all gods in some way, heaven is here on earth... And that is a hard feeling to grasp, a hard truth to accept.
But to me it is the only truth there is.
We are scientific beings created from atoms, not from adam and eve. The idea of eden is simply a myth, a story.
Isn't it funny how we call what people in history believed to be their religion "myth" Its not roman religion its roman mythology
Because only our perception of god can be correct.
Joseph Campbell, the incredible human being he is... Had the best ideas..
We are all here striving for the same feeling.. God is the same feeling in all of us, religion the same feeling in all of us.
We are humans and we have to give it a name.
Over time this name and this god changes, but the feeling stays the same.

The "big thing above them"...that's the sky, and it's above everyone.
God is everywhere and He definitely exists. Your denial of His existance won't make Him any less real. But you can choose not to believe in Him. He gave us all free will, even you.

Its just a religion made by the early kings to improve the people and civilize them. It got spread very easly and passed down to generations. This is why many people believe in god today. I dont believe in God and I think thats normal.

Some people feel better thinking/knowing that there is someone above them, or out there looking over them. It makes you feel better, I guess.
