Each is different and each is human with flaws and virtues.
Most Atheist reject God for the same reason that spiritual people reject religion.
Their caution is justifiable considering they are ill equipped to recognize the difference between religious mumbo-jumbo and an actual divine experience.
I knew an Atheist once that had an event occur that changed his mind and he became the shallowest kind of fundamentalist for a few years.
The truth is most religious people would be more spiritual and open to the will of God if they didn’t believe in God than they are now.

The individual atheists are people and most are very moral, that I have met. I respect their right Not to have a religion. I'm Chrsitian, but that's me and My personal stance, even if I don't agree with them.
I hope they get a Day to celebrate Darwin, evolution, the monkey's uncle, Secular Humanism and everything else they believe in complete with Party Favors, special lights and decorations.
Former Atheists that became Christian are sometimes a lot more fervent and resolute than people who were raised in Christian homes. They fight for Free Speech and defend the right to have or not have a religious conviction. Except for most of the ACLU...

I'm a Christian, but I sure don't think Atheists are stupid. I can understand why they don't believe in God because there is no real evidence. Honestly though, I just feel bad for them that they can't understand how God is real. I think it's not an easy concept to grasp, but as a believer, I feel they need to take that leap of faith and search for God, no matter how difficult it may seem. God does reveal Himself to us if we open our hearts to Him.

I'm a Christian, and I don't have a problem with atheists. I have a lot of atheist friends and co-workers, and get along with them just fine.

Well, some on here seem quite rude, but all the ones I've met personally are good, and easy to get along with.

They are people created by God. God loves them. It is the desire if God, and of the Christian, that they would come to a knowledge of God and be saved. God desires that none perish (go to Hell) and desires that all have saving faith. Jesus died for EVERYBODY and that includes Atheists. The gift of salvation is free, all we need to do is accept it. We can't just SAY we accept it, we need to live like we accept it too.
