i have seen many times a person suffering from
whatever ails them and reaching out, alot of christian respond with read your bible meditate get counseling etc....

what i am getting at ....is a truly compassionate person of God,
would know that to help someone overcome whatever their problem is
you need to address the root cause, and i believe as a ''cop out'' christians always want to say read your bible etc..
when in fact if they ''understood'' their bible it clearly states that.instead os making suggestions to the person suffering, you know what they need and simply provide it

i will give just 1 example to many= a run down single mom whos feeling overwhelmed and has no support, shes feeling depressed, scared etc.whatever, she reaches out to christian who respond by saying pray,or take some medicine

the bible clearly states (if properly interprted)that you see someones needs and help
why should this woman take medication, when what she really needs is simply a little love and m

He was just a victim of poor workmanship, horrible planning, and bird-physics-defiance.

And possibly only one supplier of explosive paraphernalia, which is what this whole ordeal is about.

that would mean that He is there in the flesh literally according to the Catholic Church. BUT the Word says in Mark 13:21 that if Anyone says to you "LOOK! Here is Christ! or Look, there He is! Do not believe. Matthew 24:13, If anyone says to you BEHOLD, Here is the Christ or there He is, do not believe them.

For any Catholics who want to deny that the Catholic Church teaches that Christ is literally in the wafer and in the wine, you need to pay attention, because they do teach His literal presence.

He will not come in the flesh literally until He steps foot on the Mount of Olives and in the Temple in Jerusalem when they annoint His feet with the only annointing oil that exists of that kind which is not in the hands of the Catholic priests but of the Jewish priests.

i heard a quick quote from the bible on the opening of a cooking show. something to the tune of you can eat all the fish you want but dont eat anything with a shell. does anyone know that specific verse? it was too quick for me to catch it. i love seafood but i will definatly give it some more thought if the bible says not to eat it, why does it say not to eat that?

In a world where so many are busy using religious verse as a weapon of judgment, who will stand and use reason and empathy as an instrument of compassion?

A great philosopher once said, “we do not know where the future will take us. What we do know is that we will get there on the dreams and aspiration of those who came before us.”

Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Pagan, Taoist, Jewish, …these are but labels of a greater truth; that God compels man to believe. The question is, how will you be remembered? Will you be remembered for what you believed? Or will you be remembered for how you exemplified your faith?

And if your faith compels you to judge and to hate…then is your faith really worth having? …If it alienates you from your fellow man, is this the purpose of faith? Is this what God wants?

There is, in my opinion, but one truth…love. And that, I believe, is the essence of every holy writ. God proclaims love. God IS love.

How then, can any man or woman, justify hate?

I really can't stand it when someone says something like "I prayed to find a job and god gave me one!"

It sounds more like "God decided that my request for a stupid job was more important than a starving person's prayer for food, or a dying person's prayer for an extra day, or a little girl's prayer that she stops being beaten by her dad."

I am a non-religious person who has fallen into some dark times and could use some additional strength. So how does one find God? How are we suppose to reach out and "tap into" this High Power?

For me, I think I would have waited a couple more years before having my first child. Not that I wasn't a good mother, but I still had a lot of growing up to do myself. I was much more focused and had my priorities straight when my second son was born.

So...what would YOUR "do over" be?
