I was religion editor for a major metropolitan daily newspaper and had to learn as much as I could about the religious beliefs of others. If you are looking for an easy reference, might I suggest trying to find a high school text book (used by some northern prep schools) titled "Biographies of Religious Leaders." I edited a series titled "What Others Believe" which ran in the 60s in the Houston Post.

sure why not they're all interesting stories. The you have to figuire out who you are, what you want out of life. In the meantime be kind to each other and give yourself unselfishly. You don't need a man made religion to do what's right by the universe.

My interest in other religions is to be educated about what they believe in order to communicate with them. I like to ask questions about why they believe, and what they believe. I also like to know the source or basis for their beliefs. It also helps to protect me spiritually if I know what I dealing with. God has given us warnings about false doctrines and false teachers in the bible and also ways to test the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
